Looks like we get the Phins cast off

Decent player, I guess. Not a game changer, but will help I suppose.

Can somebody please tell me the upgrade behind this besides him being a depth player?

It's just solid depth.  Not really an upgrade.

Not really. He will be the starter at the spot currently occupied by Red Bryant.

Depth all right. If we don't get a couple difference makers, it'll be deep doo doo.

Maybe I'm getting too jittery, but after hearing all this...we are going to spend some cap money, get a veteran WR, shore up the D with safety help, make a run for Suh, Cobb, Buluga, Maclin, etc and so far?

Ok. I'll wait till Tuesday 4 pm. Still early, but some of my hopefuls are already gone it appears.

Where are people getting this info that he's just a "meh" player. I'd seriously love to know.

He was getting offered in the 7M range from Oakland from the sounds of it. He was a top priority for Miami if they wouldn't have landed one of the best FA's to ever hit the market...just because he isn't Suh doesn't mean he's depth. The guy will start.

i think you listen to people too much and don't make your own opinions.

Also from what I can tell this guy is legit. The entire Raiders fanbase really wanted him.

he's not an upgrade over Bryant.  he's a replacement at best.

Odrick is a really good player.  Love this signing.

he had 1 sack and less tackles than Alualu last year.  that means he's probably all-pro.

And you had....neither.  So we should break the bank for you?

the fact you try to use stats to judge defensive tackles just lets people know they shouldn't pay attention to anything you have to say. so please, keep embarrassing yourself, it's entertaining.

Wouldn't a replacement be an upgrade by default?

no because then you are just where you already were.  Bryant played ok for us last year, and we got a guy who could be OK for us next season.  this is nothing more.
