Release The Kraken

Quote:I can't continue to repeat myself. I'm saying one simple FACT. It's not a presumption, it's a ruling. The prosecution has the burden of proof. If they can't prove guilty without a reasonable doubt, the dependent is found I.e. Ruled, not guilty. There is no burden of proof for defense to prove a client innocent. It's the way our court of law works. Re read my posts before you call someone else a bad reader.

So "Innocent until proven guilty" no longer exist?

So someone being found "Not Guilty" can be brought into another case because we say they really weren't "innocent" in that first one?

Not Guilty = Innocent Maintained  or are you refuting that?

Cause you said in the Court of Law there is a "difference" between Innocent and Not Guilty.

NVM, we just aren't hearing each other. I get what you r saying, just stating how the court rules. They may be presumed innocent but don't rule innocent. I was correcting your statement on verbiage.

Ok I just re read what I wrote. I shouldn't have originally wrote found, I should have wrote ruled. I see why we are where we are. My fault.

Yes you are arguing lingo in which you technically would be correct on verbiage.

I'm arguing bigger picture in terms of punishments and etc.

I don't believe Gus for a second that they have not discussed Hardy. Doesn't make any sense. The only reason he's saying that is to avoid possible league sanctions while Hardy's status is still up in the air. If we were to land  Hardy this defensive line would be set and whatever player we take at 3 can be groomed and slowly phased in.

The league has said that Hardy is able to sign a deal.  Gus is not saying they have not discussed Hardy to "avoid possible league sanctions".

Thanks. That's pretty awesome!

Is Hardy headed to Jacksonville? I recall Caldwell suggesting he was trying to get the DE, and now it looks like he's about to sign somewhere...

<p style="margin-left:40px;">Free-agent defensive end Greg Hardy has started negotiations with a team that does not want to be identified, and others are interested as well, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. ... There had been speculation Friday morning, especially on social media, that Hardy could be headed to the Oakland Raiders. But the team has not discussed a deal with Hardy, a league source told ESPN's Bill Williamson on Friday afternoon. - ESPN, 14 hours ago

How many Greg Hardy threads are we up to now?

He hit a woman, then paid her under the table to not show up at his trial. Not the type of person I want on the Jaguars, and yes, I am judging him.

I wouldn't be shocked if it was us, but I'd bet we're not that team.

But for the Ray Rice video, it is unlikely we ever know the details of this.

It is unlikely fans would care as much about it without the Rice video.

In any case, I hope that incident was a complete aberration and that it never happens again with Hardy...or anyone else for that matter.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

at the end of the day it depends on caldwell believing he shows remorse.

he said like he has said with blackmon that we would never bury a guy for his past.

That being said if hardy doesn't pass the charactor check i see no chance we sign him.

Considering parnell and oldrick both really impressed me with their interviews and seemed to fit in with the projections of the team given by players like marks bryant and clemons I can't see us signing hardy unless he is a charactor fit.

even if we do sign hardy I also see that being the end of clemons and not changing in anyway shape or form who we take at 3

FWIW, I believe I heard a commend from Dave or Gus to the effect there wasn't any talk about Hardy inside the building.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals are the team that ends up signing Greg Hardy,  if Michael Johnson ends up signing with the Vikings or another team.   The Bengals are known to bring in high risk players.

The Cowboys also come to mind because of Jerry Jones.

Both teams use base 4-3 Defenses,  which seems like the best fit for Hardy's skills.

Not like you'd hear anyone say that there was though.....his situation isn't finalised so no one will talk

The Bengals can probably be removed from the potential landing spots for Greg Hardy,  as Michael Johnson is coming back to Cincinnati:

I did look for a thread with Greg Hardy in the title before posting this. If we have one, it's old because I didn't notice any.

Looking briefly at the latest rumors, I'm noticing similar talk from the Patriots, Chargers and Cowboys that it would make sense if he signed there, but there's still nothing substantial to go on. I also noticed a quip that he's likely looking at a 2-game suspension for his incident.

I'm not sure that Pats or Cowboys could afford him in their current situations. I'd love to have him here as a player, but if we don't even try I totally get it.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
