Apparently Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports said Philadelphia being interested in Murray is more of a smokescreen than anything. Should come down between Jaguars, Raiders, and Cowboys.

Quote:I feel like Demarco might just be using the Jags and the other interested teams to drive up his price for the Eagles.

Im pretty pessimistic though.

I hate it when players do that. It sets us up for disappointment after weeks of hoping we land an elite player.

i feel like the RAIDERS will pay 10 mil per yr.

Quote:You have to think Philadelphia isn't exactly an attractive destination right now considering they're dumping half of their players without a moment's notice.

It even sounds like LeSean McCoy talked Gore out of Philly.

Yet,  the Eagles will apparently add CB Byron Maxwell,  they re-signed OLB Brandon Graham,  and they added draft compensation in the QB trade with St. Louis.  Plus,  they have plenty of salary cap value left.   You make a valid point though.  As much as I don't like the Eagles for a variety of reasons,  I still believe that many players view them as one of the more football attractive options in the NFL.

So why did DeMarco Murray delete everything related to the Cowboys from his Twitter account if there is still a good chance he will stay in Dallas?

Absolutely.  The NFL Salary Cap will probably go up around $ 10 million more next year.

If the Jags really want him, they will have to overpay, or at least make an offer that the Cowboys won't match, or come close to.

That's how I see it.

The Raiders seem to be to cheap to compete right now, even though they have money to spend.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I'm going to say Eagles also, but I don't get this "contender" talk with them. They didn't even make the playoffs last year.

If he wants to keep the number 29, of course. Some players get different numbers when they change teams.

They were contenders last year and barely missed out.

I see it the same way as you do. If anything with all the moves Chip has made so far, I expect the Eagles to take a step back this year.
