Former Steelers pass rusher Jason Worilds is retiring from the game per a release by his agents. Several teams wanted him in free agency....

Per agent @JB_XAM, Jason Worilds says “ I have chosen to step away from football as I have opted to pursue other interests.” Wow.

These guys are making serious cash and retiring early. Good for them! This is going to happen to someone on our team soon.

I wonder if this means that he didn't like the offers that came his way and is using the retirement announcement to get a better offer than he received?

Patrick Willis retires and now this? Is there some kind of Linebacker conspiracy going on?

Looks like we will have an extra 9 to 10 million a year to spend since no Murray.

All quiet on the Murray front?

An Article on SteelersDepot suggests he didn't visit any teams. Maybe teams just aren't interested in him, and he decided it wasn't worth it to keep trying.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I personally would rather pass on Murray and spend the money elsewhere

Would love to be able to trade back up into the first round for Gurley

I also think the Jags need another year to build the O-Line

Jason Worilds is walking away from about $7M or $8M per year. At least $15M guaranteed.

My guess is his agent didn't get the feedback they were anticipating during the 3 day window period. I'll be surprised if Jason Worilds never plays another down of NFL football.
