Quote:I am starting to warm up to the idea of Murray as a Jaguar. As long as we don't run the wheels off of him and can get maybe 3-4 good years and the cap hit isn't too bad, he could really help.
The wheels have already been run off him. We'd be getting the no-wheels version. Do not want.

is Vince Wilfolk still without a team? What about him on defence?

Quote:Very interesting. Up here in Michigan, the vibe is that Lions fans would criticize their FO for paying for Murray when this draft class is so loaded with RBs. The vibe on here is that, despite a loaded RB class, we should get Murray at all costs.

I think the reasoning would be that 1) we can afford it, cap-wise, and 2) it would mean we don't have to spend a high draft pick on a running back; we can get a player at a different position

Makes sense.  I just like the idea of not having to plug draft picks and rookie free agents into the starting mix off the bat. One or two, maybe.  But when 4/5 of  your offensive line is essentially rookies (Joekel gets the rookie nod as he only started 1 game at LT), its a recipe for disaster.

Interestingly,

Stefan Wisniewski - C - Raiders is still on the market

also

Stevie Johnson - WR - 49ers (former Bill in 2013)  is about to enter the market.

Will the Jags pursue these players.

1. J. Thomas top TE. check

2. Shannon Sharpe hatin'. double check

3. Ascending RT to protect pretty boy Bortles. check

4. RDE that can get at the QB. check

5. Good CB from a contender. check

6. Much needing FS upgrade. check

7. FCC fine issued to Caldwell for droppin' S-bombs on Jaguar Thurdays day (that right we heard you beast). check
