Quote:We probably have $30 or $31 million left in cap space but do we cut Marcedes?  We're paying him a lot of money to block.  Dude can't catch.  If they cut him, there's another $7 million or so in cap space right?  I say go young at that position and find another blocking TE on the cheap.

They will hold onto him until after the draft….we are strapped for cash if Murray//Hardy and others want to jump on board.

If we get a Warford//Williams//James in the draft Lewis is as good as gone.

And who exactly are we going to go for? That Lee Smith guy already signed with Raiders and Id rather go after other positions this draft after getting Julius. Lewis contract is up after this year and he has one purpose. Its not like we are even going to spend all 31 mill of this cap

Yeah Odrick has had about a gallon of Gus juice this morning. The man is so well spoken and is excited to be a part of this resurgence in Jacksonville.

I'd keep Lewis around for another year and draft a young TE mid-rounds.

Davon House is great. First him going out getting a Jags hat in GB the other day, now he's on the radio saying his agent got it in his contract that his son will be the starting QB in 2025 Laughing . I like him for sure.

Its more of a does M.Lewis block well enough to merit 6/7 Million?   And why do we have to spend all 31 of the cap this year?

Like how Julius is all business.  Wearing the blazer and collared shirt. Nice.

The price tag is high, but keep in mind that Julius has missed some games too and our depth at TE isn't that great. If we're pressed for cap space, sure get rid of Lewis. But I don't think we will be even if we land Murray. I wouldn't mind having Lewis as insurance behind Thomas, not to mention flexibility offensively with 2 TE sets.

From Ask Vic today:  "I'll say this: I think the Jaguars got a good player.  I've long been a Davon House fan. Can he stay healthy?  That's the only question."

Skuta? That's a nice beard. Between bin and Odrick they're bringing a burly/lumberjack quality to the D.

Tweet from Max Luckan (@MaxLuckan) - #Jaguars and #Cowboys both unwilling to match DeMarco Murray’s asking price at this point.

Sounds like his agent is attempting to milk every last dollar possible.

For people saying we can just draft a RB:

We need more experience on offense as well. We had 8 rookies starting on offense last year, it's not smart to have another rookie getting a lot of carries at an important position. Draft one to develop if it's good value but you won't get anyone close as good as DeMarco in the draft this year.
