Draft cooper then trade Blackmon and Lewis plus picks to draft Melvin Gordon..

We don't need Blackmon because we get Cooper..

We don't need Lewis because of the Thomas signing..

Is there a way the Jags could consider such a trade??..

Or we could keep Blackmon and draft our coveted LEO for the next decade and not waste a pick on something we already have

Agreed. The Jags haven't had someone who could consistently put up double digit sacks since Tony Brackens. This year we'll be in position to take the pick of the litter in terms of best available pass rusher. Its time to get our sack artist.

Why would any team want a guy who hasn't played a game in two years and a 30 year old blocking tight end

Lewis is untradeable. No one would touch his salary. Why do people keep bringing him up as tradebait with a straight face around here?

I'm going to guess trading a suspended player might be difficult, or even against the rules.....

As long as the Raiders are in existence, there is always a possibility.

Other than that option ..... are you kidding me?   I'm just wondering which player is less valuable -- the dude that is suspended or the other dude that can't catch and takes up $7m in cap space.

This isn't the first time this has happened with him, you learn to look past it when he forgets to log into his alt accounts to argue with himself.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

I don't think anyone would trade for Lewis. And besides, just because we signed Julius Thomas it doesn't mean we don't need Lewis. Lewis will be just as big a part of this offense as Thomas will.

If Lewis were to be traded, no doubt an extension would be worked out with his new team which would restructure his salary into something acceptable.  If he were at the beginning, instead of the end, of a bad contract, it may be a different story.
