Does Nick Fairley's contract set a precedent for what Hardy will receive - a 1 year, incentive based, prove it contract? If so, I'm on board.

At this point, I would be very surprised if Greg Hardy became a Jaguar.

I'll just defer to Caldwell and support his decision to sign or not sign him.

Ian Rapoport is reporting that Hardy is meeting with Dallas today, and Seattle and Tampa Bay have both expressed interest in him.

Dallas has been sitting back waiting to make sure the price is right.  It sounds like they're looking to do a 1 year deal with him, and from all reports, he's fine with that.

A one year deal would probably be in his best interest. He is only going to make pennies on the dollar for this contract so might as well have a big year and hope all is forgetten in time and then hope to cash in next offseason.

The trick is he has to remain a good citizen for a year while remaining productive on the field to even have a chance at that big contract.  Whoever gets him will take a lot of heat for the signing, but the silver lining is what he'll bring on the field.  10-15 sacks this year will silence the vast majority of critics.

That's a lot more than I'd thought he would get even if its a 1 year deal.

Is the 53 man really an incentive?

He is going to make 11 million by just being on the team and not getting cut.

One year deal...the better he plays & stays out of trouble, the better the contract next year.  Dallas needed him....not to mention picking at 27, no pressure finding that stud DE.  Now they can draft BPA.

Let's see if the media darling Cowboys get negative press for signing this thug
