I read on youtube it is better to shave your entire body. So I think it would be best if we do the flea bath after the shave.

I am surprised at the neg reactions. She is right that giving candy to a fat kid is like giving a beer to a recovering alcoholic. That may not be politically correct, but she would be doing the kid a lifetime favor if it helped him to control his obesity. I am sorry but obesity is a much worse thing than potentially hurting someones 'self-esteem.' I mean people don't know how to handle adversity, now we have 'bullying' in the Miami Dolphins locker room? Really?

I hear 'comedians' making way more politically incorrect and mean spirited comments about fat people than this woman, and everyone laughs. What a backwards culture! You can't say that, unless your a comedian, and then its okay and even funny; but have legitimate concern about another human being and take the time to honestly tell them a obvious health issue that they are inflicting on them self is 'evil' and 'wrong.'

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

The number of fat kids who get into jr high and high school and hit a growth spurt and are skinny is huge. A kid 10 and under doesn't need this lady's "help".

Comedians say it to a room full of adults, who pay, and know what they are getting into. Did you really just try and make that comparison?

The woman has no business handing out letters.  If you aren't going to hand out candy, do just that -- don't pick 'fat kids' to not give candy to.  Don't hand out letters.  I hope the ladies mailbox was torn down, and that the smell of egg on her house doesn't come off for months.  She comes across as a total [BAD WORD REMOVED].

It's people like her who create eating disorders.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

They certainly don't taste too good, but fattening as hell.

I'm nothing like her. :woot:

I think most people could agree that her intent isn't the issue, it is her delivery that sucks. A lot of us could fall victim to having the wrong delivery while having nothing but good intentions.

She may be nothing more than a victim of her own poor judgement of implementation, that doesn't make her evil.

I didn't read the article, or search for one ... has anyone seen a picture of her? Some people can take healthy living, or lifestyle to the extreme. I don't know why, but a Big Mac sounds really good right now. :yes:

In my opinion, there's just certain things in life that you just don't do.. You don't question anyone else's faith, political stance or reasoning as they've come up with those for a reason specific for them and them alone. She may have had a reason for handing out those flyers for obese children, but she crossed the line when she handed them out. It's not her place to lecture anyone else's kids in that matter. If she didn't want to hand out candy for Halloween to obese kids, then she should have done the correct thing and shut off her front porch light like anyone else would with common sense in this country.. I don't care what kind of intentions she thought she had, you just don't try to parent anyone else's kids. Those kids may seem like they need it, but you just don't do it. I guarantee you, she has many, many flaws of her own.. And I'd love to tell her about some of those..

Intent = Healthy.

Delivery = Oranges/Apples.

So her delivery sucked. :yes:

If she's worried about the health of the children...hand out healthy snacks to ALL the children! If candy I'd "bad", it's bad for everyone. This year's skinny kid could be next years chubby one and vice versa!!

Without getting into specifics because of the rules of this message board, I'd say that the faith, political stance, and reasoning of every person should be question if the effects extend beyond themselves and those who choose to be associated with them. This message board may not be the place for it, and handing out letters on Halloween definitely isn't the place for it, but questions can create good, healthy debates that could at least extend your own knowledge of the viewpoint of the "opposition".

It has to be done in the right place at the right time, but to never question things like faith, political stance, and reasoning is doing a disservice to yourself and the other person.

Well, that's the scheme. She's establishing an annual cycle in order to allow her to start selling advertising space on her Fat Kid Letters.

As long as their faith, political stance or reasoning doesn't affect anyone else except for that individual, that stuff is nobodys business but their own.

Yea, I would agree with that. Faith, political stance, and reasoning are things that are rarely isolated to the individual though.
