If Caldwell and Bradley view him as the best player in the draft like alot of people do, they will take him.

In the early rounds thus far, I would characterize Caldwell as more of a needs based drafter.  Joeckle, Bortles, Linder, and the WRs (quick examples) chosen were needs-based in my opinion, where value was reasonably close.  Williams and Mariota are less of a need than say, pass rusher.  It would not surprise me to see Caldwell trade back if a team desires one of those guys and offers picks.  Caldwell has shown that he likes those extra picks.

disagree. not a person in the world even knows how marks will perform or when he will be ready.

 

Williams you could move all around the line. He would get plenty of snaps. you dont pass on a guy who might be better than every player you already have on your defense just because you have guys that MIGHT be more ready to start day 1.

why? you want the absolute most value. period. why take a guy who wont be as good of a player?

yeah i disagree with this. There's no way we can pencil Marks in as the best player on the d-line right now. He's the biggest question mark in that unit with that ACL. Keep in mind that while Odrick was signed to upgrade Red, his best year was actually playing the same position/role as Marks.

 

We very well could be looking at Odrick replacing Marks, with Leonard stepping at that LDE spot to replace Red.

That is why we are all guessing. Most people have Williams ranked as the best player in the draft. Assuming the Jaguars do as well, why pass on him for an inferior player?

Seems to me like a lot of fans or forgetting, or at least overlooking, the fact Marks tore his ACL in late December, too.

The latest rumor from Jason Cole of Beacher Report has the Raiders exploring options to move up and take Leonard Williams.

 

So either the Raiders are talking to the Jags, whom they fear will take Leonard Williams at Pick 3 if available or they are talking with the Titans. Could the Raiders offer the Titans an extra Rd 3 pick to move to Pick 2? Would the Jags attempt to trade down with a QB starved team if Mariota falls to Pick 3? Would the Titans take Mariota at Pick 4?

 

Thoughts?

I would love to tell the Raiders we are gonna take Williams at 3 and get them to move up one sport for him and we get Fowler jr.

Bucs trade Goldson to the Redskins

PFT has confirmed that the Buccaneers have traded Goldson plus a 2016 seventh-round pick to Washington for a 2016 sixth-round pick. The trade was first reported by Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
