Quote:that's not nearly a blowup of the roster and refilling it with rookies...it's not even close to what the Jags did

I haven't even name Cb Cary Williams,Dt Trent Cole. Jags bought rookies like Josh Evans in who started did that pan out No! Hmmm is Gratz panning out? I don't even think he starts this year! Just because they bought in all these rookies and started them don't means they were right!! Especially if we still losing!

The Jags cut the majority of their veteran players and filled the roster back up with rookies and UDFA to rebuild with youth...Did the egurls do that? NO! Has any other team done that? NO! It's a FACT that a rookie vs a seasoned vet, rookies lose the majority of the time...So once these rookies start coming into their prime, the wins will start coming...Not every single draft pick or free agent signing will turn into superstars, but the Jags are on the right track

Your post I replied to was about how you said the egurls blew up their roster and became great since chip kelly got their...the egurls did not blow up their roster like the jags did, so your example of teams coming from bottom feeders to greatness in one or two years is invalid

Didn't say the eagles were great or bottom feeders. My point is a team can be turned around in 1 or 2 years if you make the RIGHT moves! Who ever said blowing up the roster was the right move? Did we win more games because of it? No! So my point is valid because in his first year as coach Chip Kelly led eagles to the playoffs. But you probably wont understand that because your use to a losing culture and being nurtured!

you should probably be a fan of the Eagles then. Going by your gut jumping reactions and rash opinions, you would fit right in with that class of character in Philly.

Quote:They do have to eventually prove it on the field, but I think that's going to start becoming evident this year.  This is a young team that gained a ton of good experience over the past couple of seasons.  Now we'll see if the approach this regime took in rebuilding by blowing it up and building extensively through the draft will pay off.  I tend to think it will, especially when you recognize that they can use free agency this year to really augment the roster.  They've done so with the acquisitions so far, and I would expect to see more activity as the off season progresses.
I agree. And as the OP continues to fail to realize, i agree that this is a must win season in that, we need to significantly be better than in seasons past. But that does not necessarily mean playoffs, but if we can get to 6-10,7-9, or 8-8. I think thats atleast a good and rational approach to the 2015 season without putting too many expectations on it. It's not like we are a playoff caliber team yet, and we have not even had the draft.

3-13 or 4-12 are not going to cut it, especially for Gus Bradley. I think theres even more pressure on the staff this year than say Caldwell, who i think would survive even if it was a disappointing season. With how transparent and genuine this entire regime seems to be, its really hard to not pull for these guys and hope that Dave Caldwell, Gus Bradley and staff really do make an impact on this team and city for years to come.

Well...only because you are clueless. It makes no sense to come back with any counterpoint because you either come back with some pretty irrelevant 'argument' or something that is so vague it's next to impossible to understand.

So I think that clueless is the most apt comeback.

Smh..lol. (did I do that right?)

You can't compare anything that any team has done with what the Jags have done...So many veterans were cut and replaced by rookies, that the team resembled something closer to an expansion team than a 20 year old team...So you think a roster with 8 starting rookies is going to light the world on fire in a couple years? You're delusional and expect way too much way to fast...It doesn't work that way...Take a few impact players away and sure it can be done in a couple years, but not basically rebuilding the whole team can it be done in a couple of years...I haven't seen any of the pro sports professionals say anything different, and I would tend to believe the guys who have worked in football their entire life have a better understanding than you or I...If you feel you are smarter than Caldwell and so much better at running a football team, you indeed are clueless...Let the pros handle this...

I would tend to believe the people behind the roster blowup have a much better idea of how to run a football team than you do...There was such a lack of talent they had to gut the roster...I'm certain the men who have worked in the NFL industry all their lives are much more savvy in these matters than you

So 3 years is delusional? Ok! The topic of this thread is no more excuses!! im tired of debating with you and others about this! We can just agree to disagree.. Just remember this Gus and his staff has to win now!! Or they might be gone. And i do believe he need 7-8 wins to keep his job. We cant debate that!!

The third year is when you should start to see everything coming together...It's still not a finished product in year 3, and reasonable expectations should be met...If you are tired debating this with me and others, then stop doing it...It's pretty simple to not respond

Quote:Any time you post, I picture someone who walks around all day in a helmet to avoid head injuries. Your posts come off as childish, completely lacking any substance, and quite frankly, like someone who is just throwing crap they pulled out of their adult diaper at a wall just to get attention.

Let me know if I got anything wrong here.
For someone with so much intellect and substance seems you should be doing more in the world than posting up on a nfl team forum administrating it. Not you though, because your square [BLEEP] has probably been here for over a decade with damn near 60,000 posts everyday taking this seriously. But that's your business dude, continue protecting this team behind a keyboard daily while not getting paid for it.
