All I know is this is the first offseason under David I feel like we're making progress. I don't have proof yet but this feels like the lead up to progress on the field, the previous two years it was an obvious step back to hopefully leap forward. Doesn't mean I liked it or even agree that it was necessary but I'm just hoping the leap is worth the sacrifice at this point.

Yeah, I think this is the year where all of the dismantling and rebuilding of the roster will start to show us whether these guys know what they're doing or not.  I'm optimistic that things will turn around, and if Caldwell is right, they will do so very quickly.

No such thing as "too many" imo if they are playing better than those they replaced.

Obviously if you have early round picks from last year being supplanted it speaks poorly for your drafting, but I seriously doubt we see that.


Gratz is probably the highest pick of the Caldwell era set to become a backup in the near future.

As long as that doesn't happen to your third rounder every year - it's not catastrophic.
