Jaguars Forum Mock Draft Discussion

(This post was last modified: 04-17-2015, 08:10 AM by Kotite.)

Making a detailed post and allowing a week for people to respond is going AWOL? I was in the process of engaging the last GMs and found impatience already set things in motion and turned the draft into exactly what I had been hoping to avoid.
Only a chump boos the home team!

And apparently EVERYBODY wasn't ready as this thing stalled again this year midway through the first round.

All this talk and we can't make it past the Bengals?!!

Someone take over for me. I had the Titans but this sucks. Might as well just lock the thread and move on everyone

Is there a way to see people's activity minus last log in?

I guess post history but next year you might want to look for active posters...like 5+ post a day.

So were you planning to cut it down to 2 rounds or were we adding a third day somewhere before the draft?

People abandoned your plan because we were scheduled for the three sundays prior to the draft. And we totally missed the first Sunday with no information or even assigned teams.

Maybe we could have been more patient, but a quick post Saturday acknowledging the delay would have avoided a lot of confusion.

Bottom line I don't think claiming hijack is totally fair.

What difference does it make if the mock draft would have ended a week after the actual draft in the dead zone of the NFL calendar? And for the record I am not the one who introduced the term "hijack" into the equation. I repeated the term which had been mentioned a couple of times prior.

Whoever wants to get it together be my guest.

I was just offering up some ideas to put something together where we aren't waiting two days or more for someone to pick.

Everyone cool with DB for Pitt? I say give them Peters or Johnson from WF

I prefer Johnson in their scheme, but that's just me.

I just picked him. Detroit is up

That would be rufftimes pick since I took his philly pick. If he doesn't pick for a while again I guess I'll just take Detroit as well.

My two cents with the Lions pick based on that players taken is the decision will probably come down to an Offensive Lineman,  DT Eddie Goldman,  or CB Jalen Collins.   With CB Byron Jones and DT Jason Phillips wildcards ( less likely ).   I would be shocked if CB Marcus Peters is the pick because of the character issues with him.

Being that NYC mentioned the other day he's had long work hours,  it's probably best to let someone else make the pick with NYC having the option to make another pick later on if he expresses interest in doing so.

If someone who hasn't made a pick wants to make this pick,  by all means go ahead.   If no one steps up in the next 2 hours, jessepeck can make the pick if he would like.

I like Goldman there.

The Lions are expected to bring in Eddie Goldman in for a Pre-Draft visit.   If the choice is a non-Offensive Lineman and Malcom Brown is off the board,   I think there's a very realistic chance Goldman will be the pick.

One other wildcard with this pick is RB Tevin Coleman.   The Lions brought Coleman in for a Pre-Draft visit and have been paying close attention to him leading up to the draft.

Maybe if the Draft board was ***OFFICIAL*** and pinned it would garner more interest ?

If by remote chance the MB Mock Draft gets to the Jags 2nd Round pick ( # 36 ) before 9pm tomorrow night,  by all means go ahead and make the pick if you would like.   Otherwise,  I plan on being ready from 9pm on tomorrow night to make the pick.   Hopefully,  we have this pleasant situation.
