2015 Mock Drafts

Williams and Harold would probably be the best case scenario. With some polish I think Harold is going to be a great player.

Is Shane Ray really likely to drop out the first? I just can't see it.

With so much focus being on us drafting defensive players, we should just draft Cooper and trade up for Gurley lol. Set Blake up for 5 years +

The defence is good enough to keep us in games. Scoring points is where we've been massively struggling

More and more it looks to me that the Titans will get a nice trade package to rebuild their roster by trading out of Pick 2. This will leave Leonard Williams on the draft board and he appears to be a prospect much like Luke Joeckle that will be just too good to pass up. Thus my latest mock draft is as follows:

Rd 1(3): Leonard Williams - DT - USC

Rd 2(36): Jay Ajayi - RB - Boise State

Rd 3(67): Cody Prewitt - FS - Mississippi

Rd 4(103): Rashad Greene - Slot WR - FSU

Rd 5(138): TRADE to Eagles for Vinny Curry to play DE-Leo for Jags

Rd 6(179): Jarvis Harrison - OLG - Texas A&M

Rd 7(220): Kyle Emanuel - Otto LB/FB - North Dakota State

Regarding Vinny Curry - DE - Eagles - 6'3" 279 lbs - 9 sacks with limited playing time. Rumored to be available for a mid to late round pick. Does not fit the Eagles 3-4 Defense. Is a Pass Rush specialist and only 26 years old.

Why do you love Prewitt so much?  He is great instincts but sucks as a rangy Centerfield type

NFL.com has a 7 round mock up.  Jaguars picks:

1. Leonard Williams, DL, USC
2. Cameron Erving, C, Florida State
3. T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama
4. Frank Clark, DE, Michigan
5. Arie Kouandjio, G, Alabama
6. Charles Gaines, CB, Louisville
7. Nick Marshall, CB, Auburn

I can't imagine the team doesn't select a WR the entire draft that Caldwell says is one of the best WR drafts in years, even better than last year.

That's pretty bad imo. A C so early when we already have 2? 2 corners? No FS or WR?

The other concern is Frank Clark's character issues.

WalterFootball (yeah he sucks but he's one of the only people to do multiple round mocks) has a 6 rounder up and he has the Jags taking:

Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida
Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut
Jaquiski Tartt, S, Samford
Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Auburn
Martrell Spaight, OLB, Arkansas
Shaquille Mason, G, Georgia Tech

I'm really surprised none of them are mocking at least 1 wideout. At least he has only 1 lineman and that's in the 6th round.

For all we know by the time the draft comes around all the mocks will have us taking a WR.

Rd. 1  Leonard Williams

       2 Nelson Agholor

       3 P.J. Williams (free safety)

       4 David Johnson

       5 Jarvis Harrison

       6 Davis Tull

       7 Xavier Williams

No LEO, but these are all BAP at their spots. Hopefully Branch or Chris Smith will effectively relieve Clemons and Williams/Odrick get consistent pressure on q.b.

I only did 6 rounds this time.  The goal early was to get Blake all the help I could.  I don't think I'd ever had Gurley fall to the 2nd with fanspeak before this.  I would love Josh Shaw in the 4th with a planned move to FS.

If we can change Erving with Coleman or Harold (both of which are available in that mock) then that draft is really good.

Probably my final mock.  In this one, Philly makes that 3-team trade rumored right now.  (Trade Bradford to Browns for #19.  Then trade #19 and #20, along with DT Fletcher Cox and ILB Michael Kendricks to the Titans for the #2 to select Mariota.  I think it benefits both teams.)  The Jags go for a play-maker on offense, which they sorely need, instead of more pass rush.

Through the Jags' 4th round pick:

  1. TAM – QB Jameis Winston
  2. PHI – QB Marcus Mariota (from TEN)
  3. JAC – WR Amari Cooper
  4. OAK – DT Leonard Williams
  5. WAS – OLB Dante Fowler
  6. NYJ – OLB Vic Beasley
  7. CHI - WR Keven White
  8. ATL – DE Alvin Dupree
  9. NYG – OT Brandon Scherff
  10. STL – WR Devante Parker
  11. MIN – RB Todd Gurley
  12. CLE – OT La’el Collins
  13. N.O.  – DT Danny Shelton
  14. MIA – CB Trae Waynes
  15. S.F. – CB Kevin Johnson
  16. HOU – DE/OLB Randy Gregory
  17. S.D. – SS Landon Collins
  18. K.C.  – WR Breshad Perriman
  19. TEN – OT Ereck Flowers (from PHI via CLE)
  20. TEN– CB/S Byron Jones (from PHI)
  21. CIN – OT Andrus Peat
  22. PIT – CB Marcus Peters
  23. DET – OT T.J. Clemmings
  24. ARI – DT Arik Armstead
  25. CAR – DE Shane Ray
  26. BAL – WR Dorial Green-Beckham
  27. DAL – DT Malcolm Brown
  28. DEN – OT Jake Fisher
  29. IND – OC Cameron Irving
  30. GB– ILB Eric Kendricks
  31. N.O. – OLB Eli Harold
  32. N.E. – DT Eddie Goldman
  33. TAM – OT D. J. Humphries
  34. TEN – DE Owa Odighizuwa
  35. OAK – WR Nelson Agholor
  36. JAC – FS Eric Rowe
  37. NYJ – OG Laken Tomlinson
  38. WAS  - WR Jaelen Strong
  39. CHI – NT Jordan Phillips
  40. NYG – FS Damarious Randall
  41. STL – OT Donovan Smith
  42. ATL – TE Maxx Williams
  43. CLE – WR Philip Dorsett
  44. N.O. – CB Jalen Collins
  45. MIN – DE Preston Smith
  46. S.F. – ILB Benardrick McKinney
  47. MIA – OG A.J. Cann
  48. S.D. – RB Jay Ajayi
  49. K.C. – DE Mario Edwards JR
  50. BUF – LB Shaq Thompson
  51. HOU – ILB Paul Dawson

  62. G.B. – DT Carl Davis
  63. SEA – OC Hroniss Grasu
  64. N.E. – OG Ali Marpet
  65. TAM – OG Tre’ Jackson
  66. TEN – WR Devin Smith
  67. JAC – LEO Nate Orchard
  68. OAK – CB Alex Carter
  69. WAS – RB David Johnson
  70. NYJ – RB Duke Johnson
  71. CHI – FS Cody Prewitt

  86. ARI – LB Kwon Alexander
  87. PIT – OT Cedric Ogbuehi
  88. DET – DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches
  89. CAR – WR Rashad Greene
  90. BAL – OLB Max Vales
  91. DAL – DE Za’Darius Smith
  92. DEN – FS Derron Smith
  93. IND – DT Marcus Hardison
  94. G.B. – OLB Hau’oli Kikaha
  95. SEA – CB Steve Nelson
  96. N.E. – WR Chris Conley
  97. N.E. – RB Jeremy Langford
  98. K.C. – OC Reese Dismukes
  99. CIN – CB Doran Grant
  100. TEN – QB Garrett Grayson
  101. N.E. – CB Josh Shaw
  102. OAK – OT Mitch Morse
  103. JAC – RB Javorius Allen
I don't like that we wait until the 4th to take a RB, but it works out that way in this one with other needs coming first and the depth in this RB class.  If we don't trade down and take a RB in the middle/late 1st, I think Caldwell may wait until the 4th, like this scenario.

Haha.  Whoops.  I guess I kept pushing him down in the 1st round and then forgot about him.  I will try to fix it.

And I had Erik Flowers twice.  That was the problem.

OK, fixed.  Despite their need for an OT, Carolina goes for BAP and takes Shane Ray to replace Greg Hardy on their D-line.

Here's my complete updated 3 Round NFL Mock Draft.   Because of the Shane Ray and Jalen Collins info in recent days,  this was the most challenging Mock Draft in many years on this end:

2015 Mock Draft

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
