Baltimore Rioting

(This post was last modified: 04-28-2015, 02:24 PM by Jaguar Warrior.)

Quote:Your quantitative analysis of the cost savings of this death and complete disregard of a death of a human all while not having evidence to say the police had no wrong doing in the matter coupled with you admitting some lives are worth more than others is what led me to my responses.

It's very simple. A person suffered injuries leading to his death while in police custody. Regardless of his criminal history that's unacceptable to most people but not others apparently.

My view on life and its value is irrelevant to the argument. Are we arguing my personal beliefs or are we arguing what transpired?

I agree that it is very simple. A person suffered injuries leading to his death. His criminal history is irrelevant to the actual case. What matters is did the cops intentionally cause his death? The answer is unknown, because there is not enough evidence to say otherwise.

I think we both agree that the riots are pointless.

Quote:  According to some reports,   Freddie Gray has been convicted on some of the charges and that there was apparently plea bargaining deals that led to some of the charges being dropped.    Also,   there's uncertainty regarding how much time Gray has spent in prison.

I hope in the coming days the information on Gray's complete record becomes public.    I think it's reasonable to ask the question whether the criminal justice system failed regarding Freddie Gray.

It's reasonable, but irrelevant to what happened to him in police custody.

Baltimore is, and has been, a liberal stonghold for years. What we are seeing is the failure of the liberal policies in action.

Liberal Judges elected, the revolving door court system, Liberal Mayors and city council that restrain the police from doing their jobs. They created this mess with theoir Welfare and the Mommies not needing the daddies around

Milwaukee Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr says it best: “Like Baltimore, like Ferguson, like New York and many other areas where failed liberal government policies have led to high unemployment, chronic poverty, failing schools,” Clarke said. “This is what besets the Baltimore area. Ninety percent of the homicide victims in the Baltimore area are black as are ninety percent of the suspects. That’s a bigger problem than Freddie Gray.”

These individuals that are rioting and lotting right now and throwing rocks and bottles do not know Freddie Gray, do not care about Freddie Gray,” he said. “If they were in a nightclub in Baltimore [they] would shoot and kill him for bumping into them on the dance floor.

“I am tired of this mealy-mouth crap from politicians. They cause the conditions for a permanent underclass in America,” he tweeted before sending out another tweet moments later. “Why are we surprised at this sub-human behavior on display in American ghettos? Lib policies created the conditions.”

Oh ok. Thank you for clarifying. Otherwise his statement would be completely asinine. But since he is a black man...

Yes I admit I got upset over your personal views that much should be obvious.

The answer is currently unknown. It does seem very suspicious and to a lot of people likely that, at a minimum, some negligence occurred since he was not buckled as required by policy. That part is a fact and why most people are so upset over it.

Agreed riots are pointless and do nothing at all to help any situation in a modern society.

That's not elaboration, that is parroting. What specific policies or legislation led to what is happening in Baltimore?

Is it beyond the realm of possibility subhuman behavior led to Gray's death? If so, was that also a product of liberal policy, or could it have been the type of head knocking you also parroted?

Quote:I'm unsure what you are reading, but Eric has made, and makes points that are far from showing any privelige, and I assure you he has a great handle on situations like this.

He has shown otherwise. And he's does a great job of digging a hole for himself on his own. Should I start reporting posts of personal attacks? Because that's not the way to get your point across.

There are several mods posting in this thread, I think we can all agree that Eric has not made any personal attacks on you.

What I don't understand is that all these protesters chant "hands up, don't shoot", but when they're getting ready to be detained or arrested, they run.. If these last handful of black men actually practiced this "hands up, don't shoot", they'd prolly still be alive..

Interesting development.  It seems that many of the rioters are probably "professional rioters" or anarchists.  I couple this story with what I saw on live TV, and it seems that much of the chaos started when high school kids were let out of school.  I would be interested to see statistics relating to the age of the people that have been caught and arrested.  This would probably lead to a few things.

  1. A failed educational system.
  2. Lack of proper parenting.
  3. Failed economic policy.
Hmm...  I wonder where the direction would turn at that point?  Could it possibly point to failed "leadership" at the local, state and federal levels?
