He does throw one pretty looking ball. I'm cautious to make the same declaration you've made though. I'm not sure how the rest of his game translates to the NFL coming out of a one read system and the fact that he can get easily flustered by the rush when he doesn't have the cleanest pocket.

I dont think he is the most ready, I think Winston is. But if he sits for a year say behind a Drew Brees or another decent vet, I do think he will be the best qb to come out of this class

I'm stressing about this draft more than any prior draft.   We are bound to get a great player.   We are in a can't-miss position.   But who that player will be, I have no idea.

Then they reach like Tyson Alualu and get a guy who is either great but has a drug problem Blackmon or tore / tears an ACL.. somehow I know we will mess this up.. hoping not...though

True but he did draft LT Luke when he already had a proven decent LT in Eugene Monroe so would it be a total shock if he drafts a Fowler even though he has LEO Chris Clemons or if he drafts Mariota even though he has Bortles (which would be crazy since that was last years draft & Luke was the years before that 2nd overall pick but could it happen)?

 

I dont think it will because it would make him look bad to go against his own high 1st round pick but just throwing the idea out there....

I think he will draft Cooper because he has stated how much he wants a true #1 WR (or White) but then again he is notorius for throwing people for a loop in the draft....

maybe everyone was right and Fowler is their guy... maybe he just couldnt keep quite like Blake did at the interview process... maybe Dave already said he wanted him... i dunno

You can start two tackles but you can only start one QB.  We also just drafted a QB last year.  I'd bet you any amount of money that we don't take a QB in the first round.

Gruden totally ripped this dude.  He was blitzed 19x vs WVU and failed to pick up any of them ..... even in the 2nd half when they had time to make halftime adjustments. 

 

He doesn't know how to read defenses or go through his progressions.

I dont think they will draft a QB or a LT (even if they need to because Luke has struggled so bad) because it would make GM Dave Caldwell look bad for taking 2nd overall only two years ago and failing at it...

I do think it is possible that Mariota might be there at #3 and the team thus trades back to like #6 with the Jets for example and still gets a great guy..

You all are obsessed with trading down. Its not as good as you think, just because you get a few extra picks does not make you look that great. You pass up a great talent, that hurts.

I honestly dont want him to trade down if Williams is there and I wouldnt mind if he draft Cooper instead of trading down but I just have a hunch that is what is going to do so if he does hopefully Fowler will still be there ..
