The reason I say that is, it never made any sense to begin with to me.

 

Sure, a lot of folks penciled him in (without good reason, IMO) earlier.  Never understood why.  Did they assume he was a Gator, therefore Jaguar?  Never passed the smell test to me.

 

So yes, to me at least... it would be a surprise.  Never been on board.

I think Fowler would be a great pick.   So would Cooper and Williams.   It has nothing to do with him being a Gator.   It has everything to do with him being a great player.

Scouting well is all that matters.  Draft philosophy is all fluff.

Wouldn't be upset with Fowler being the pick, but I think Williams should be it assuming he's there.

He has been mocked to the Jaguars for so long so some people dont want him, Pirkster is one of the few that has been consistent with his position on the pass rushers

Did well at the combine.  

Oh the silly dash people. Fowler tested terribly at the combine. Very poor in the 3 most important drills (3 cone, vertical jump, and broad jump) and also the bench press, but that part doesn't really mean much. Only good in the 10 yard split.
