I'm ok with the pick, because it's easier to get a WR/RB in rounds 2/3 than it is to get an elite pass rusher.

There will be solid slot receivers in round 2, and this is a deep RB class.

1st time in years I'm not shocked, wanted Fowler or Williams, pretty flicking happy right now.

Who the heck do we think we are the Ravens or Steelers ????   We don't need no stinking LBs.  We've shown over the past decade a team can have plenty of success drafting LBs in round 4+

And several teams passed on JPP a few years ago also.Who also had great physical traits. This time the Jags didn't pass on him.

Quote:Fowler is what we needed more. Williams is a good interior guy. We need a explosive edge rusher

Exactly. The upgrade was significant over our existing weakness.

Wasn't Fowler Dan Quinn's guy in college who was the last DC for Seattle?

Most of you do not understand how tough and mentally strong this guy is. He is a vicious at tackler which gives us the best chance to injure opposing qbs and win. Williams has a questionable pectoral injury that has not been talked about much

Yes Florida plays similar defense as Jags and Seahwaks

He was in my toptier: Amari, Leonard, Fowler. I'm pleased

We've got our LT, QB, and edge rusher in the past 3 drafts - time to expect some results on the field.

Let's see. The majority of experts were saying it would be Williams, Cooper, or Fowler. Each one had tremendous upside. The Jags picked one of the 3 and the Jag fans hate it. Classic.

NFL network was saying that some teams had concerns about Williams shoulder issue, and that's why he slid as far as he did.

The Jags have been abundantly clear they're happy with the young group of receivers. Cooler would have been a nice pick up for the team, but they obviously felt it wasn't an area of need.

Fowler is the best edge rusher in the draft coming to a team that had a good line but a lackluster pass rush. The team needs a guy who will affect the qb. Fowler should do that pretty well on this line.

It's a solid pick. He'll have an immediate impact.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
