DBG --- time to take our chances
|
Quote:I think Justin Blackmon pretty much took us out of the running for guys with repeat off the field issues. The best ability is availability. Both Blackmon and Josh Gordon burned their respective teams after both teams decided to look past previous transgressions and take a chance with them. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice... Ditto, ditto, ditto. There are enough guys with clean records, who don't flunk drug tests, and who play hard all the time, that we can take our pick of those guys. No way I would take anyone with any kind of red flag in their background at this point. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:No. Anyone who pushes a woman down stairs is a DBG, or a [BAD WORD REMOVED] bag guy. He had it right the first time. I believe that was never taken further? Just allegations? unless the U.S. judicial system is different to the UK one I believed it's innocent till proven guilty as opposed to the other way round.
Quote:I believe that was never taken further? Just allegations? unless the U.S. judicial system is different to the UK one I believed it's innocent till proven guilty as opposed to the other way round. Teams don't care if he got out of it. They care if it was true.
Quote:Teams don't care if he got out of it. They care if it was true. And how can they prove it was true? When there was nothing brought further about it
DGB has sooooooooooo many red flags. Obviously he is a great size and has talent, but its a massive risk with the work ethic, the assault allegations and drug use.
I dont think we're in a position to take a risk that big, regardless of talent. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:And how can they prove it was true? When there was nothing brought further about it They don't have to prove it was true. They just have to believe it was true. All these teams have investigators who can go and gather evidence, talk to people, find out what happened.
Quote:They don't have to prove it was true. They just have to believe it was true. All these teams have investigators who can go and gather evidence, talk to people, find out what happened. Fair point. Players do turn around though, on the same basis would you of not had Ray Lewis on your team?
Aside from the off the field stuff. People overrate his ability. Looks better on paper than on the field.

Quote:Did Ray Lewis have any red flags coming out of college? I don't remember. I meant in the after the murder incident, hence why Ididnt say draft. We all like to think we want choir boys but ultimately did the Ravens care about a murderer leading them to the super bowl win? No
Quote:I meant in the after the murder incident, hence why Ididnt say draft. We all like to think we want choir boys but ultimately did the Ravens care about a murderer leading them to the super bowl win? No But the difference is that we have a choice of another player. If the Ravens had wanted to get rid of Ray Lewis, they wouldn't have been given the opportunity to go back in the draft and select someone else.

So when people try and be all high and mighty and say 'we don't want a player who does xyz' that's only because theirs other players available? Good to know We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Cant believe so many Jags fan on twitter and here want this dude, 1st of all he's not Randy Moss, plus we live in a new era, any lil thing he does is gonna be exposed with social media now. Let the 1st person that hasn't been busted 2x and thrown a chick down the steps cast the 1st stone.
Quote:Did Ray Lewis have any red flags coming out of college? I don't remember. No Canes had red flags coming out of college because the ruled Miami. Missouri is turning out to be a very interesting program ....
Quote:So when people try and be all high and mighty and say 'we don't want a player who does xyz' that's only because theirs other players available? Good to know Lol You never give up, do you? Okay, I'll let you have the last word.
Jalen Strong of Arizona State would be a good pick and he doesn't have the baggage.

Good to know 1st Ray Lewis was a heck of a lot more talented than this kid is. 2nd, it's not like he got in trouble for one incident. He's screwed up enough times I imagine teams think it's a trend. Plus his ability as a WR isn't what everyone makes it out to be. Pass. Quote:1st Ray Lewis was a heck of a lot more talented than this kid is. 2nd, it's not like he got in trouble for one incident.
