From what I can tell Sample has the physical skills but is very raw and needs to develop instincts.

Well at least we got an extra 7th round pick.

We now have 3 Strong Safeties.

What did we get in the trade?

Solid 4th round pick, can play ST and back up a  S, at this point your not gonna get starters, you get good players who can develop, he fits a physical defense

He has been compared to Donavon Darius.

Trade our 6th and both 7s to move into the 5th and call it a day.

Looks like he will be a good back up to Cyp. I think a lot of people here still expect every 4th to 7th round player we draft to be a starter. We hypothetically look like we can draft them to be depth now and if one balls out and becomes a starter that is just a big plus for us.

Jacksonville Jaguars: James Sample, S, Louisville: B+ Grade

The talk all along was that James Sample would go ahead of fellow Louisville safety Gerrod Holliman. That came to fruition, and Jacksonville is getting a slight bargain, as Sample had a chance to be chosen in the third frame. The Jaguars had to add to their secondary to give them some sort of chance against Andrew Luck

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:Arial, sans-serif;">Why did <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jets?src=hash'>#Jets</a> trade up with the <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash'>#Jaguars</a> just one spot to take Bryce Petty? Because… the <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash'>#Jaguars</a> had an offer from the <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Browns?src=hash'>#Browns</a> for him
