Alfonzo Denard, CB, formerly of New England
|
Patriots have released Denard, despite already losing Brandon Browner and Darelle Revis this offseason.
Any interest in him? He's trouble, but he's played rather well.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

I wouldn't mind taking a looksee but I'm not sure he'll be guaranteed much playing time behind House, McCray, and Colvin.
"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
I am a bit concerned though that he couldn't stick on an New England roster that just lost Revis and Browner in Free Agency and isn't exactly flush with talent at the CB position.

That's what sticks with me. On a team hurting for bodies at the position, why is he being turned loose? He's still relatively young and I don't believe he's been in the League's sights as far as disciplinary action, so why cut him?

I read an article talking about how he gradually played himself to the bench last year. If they're releasing him, there's a reason. Pass.

He must have really fallen off of a cliff then because the guy wracked up five INTs in 29 Regular Season games and another two INTs in four Playoff games. Sad to see that talent being wasted.

He's played well in the past, but if the Patriots are cutting him right now, something's up.
Claimed by the Cards.
