Fowler Hurt at Rookie Camp - Torn ACL
|
Quote:Opportunity to get the rookies in the stadium to start working with the coaches, get their play books, and begin the process of being professional football players on and off the field. I like the idea of a classroom practice. not putting them out there on the field where they will feel the need to "impress" when it does nothing really. save the on-field stuff for training camp and preseason (when it actually matters). Last time I saw a player go down on his own with a knee injury was Jon Beason. He tore an ACL. I hope it's nothing serious man.

Quote:Gosh. I don't know. Perhaps a wait and see mindset? I think at this point you can understand why past precedent is making that difficult for some, though. It does seem like it's always something...

"Some of you are born losers." Oh the irony. Just turn off your computer. How else do you expect people to react ?

Maybe they'll let us just play the games on paper this year. Or we run 100 madden simulations per game to get the results. That way no one can get hurt playing football. Geez Louis Quote:You are SO right..I know this is a struggle for you, but are you reading the sheer panic coming from some here without knowing anything about the severity of the injury? I'm not saying people shouldn't be bummed, but read some of the idiotic statements based on nothing more than a 10 second video clip. Feel free to implode over this. Even if it turns out to be an ACL, it's simply a setback. Remember, we have that massive logjam of talent at the LEO position. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
To be honest, it is becoming impossible to present the argument that a higher power in the universe doesn't hate the Jaguars.

I've never understood this. There was no significant contact. It's not like they're beating these guys up out there. Following your logic, they should never practice and just save it for Sundays. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:I've never understood this. What does it matter WHEN a player gets hurt? I'd prefer if a player gets hurt in the end zone after scoring a TD to win the Super Bowl in OT. Crosses the goal line, slips and falls. Super Bowl win. An offseason to recover without missing much if any of the next regular season. Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say timing does matter. this is also a good reminder to those people already talking about how we have no shot at or no need for bosa. you never know.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
All of the Knee Jerk reactions are ridiculous, you don't even know if it's a bad injury yet.
Man people. Worst case it is an ACL and he'll be back to form in 8-10 weeks. I'm not a professional athlete, but I recovered from a Grade 3 MCL and 2 ACL in the same knee. Recovered in about 8 weeks with no problems what so ever. Hardest part is rehab and learning to trust the strength of the knee again. This isn't the 60's and recovery to 100% is not a rare occurrence. He'll be fine and the Jags will press forward with what they already have.

Really sucks, I saw it and it looks like a hyper-extension or MCL. The way he's able to roll and bend his knee seems like it is NOT an ACL. He wouldn't be able to have any control over it and it would've had to extend way more to tear it. The dude is strong and rarely got hurt at Florida, so there's no reason his ACL would tear so easily off of that step he did. I could be wrong though, but stay positive guys!
