I saw that the other day.  It's a smart move to counter the civil suit.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:I've been following this case since it broke.. The dude's innocent because of a lack of evidence and a botched investigation.

You kinda sound like you were in the closet with a camcorder recording the acts.. If so, go to the police with the evidence.. Until then, your judgement is just opinion and not fact..

You're one of the main people here saying he's innocent and you just said he's "innocent" because of lack of evidence and a botched investigation.

You do understand that doesn't mean he's innocent, right?

What is he then? Guilty?!? If there's no evidence to support the claim and he was let go, the man is presumed innocent.. What YOU fail to realize, Is our judicial system.. Run along now and go play..

See OJ Simpson civil lawsuit.

And was OJ found innocent or guilty?

The only people who can rightfully and legally determine who is innocent or guilty are judges.. Everyone else, its all irrelevant opinions.. You can hate on Winston, OJ, Zimmerman and Casey Anthony all you like and it's your right to do so, but they are all presumed innocent.. This country's judicial system may be broken, but it's preservation of innocence is not. Even judges have the ability to overturn guilty verdicts if they feel it's necessary.

Pretty sure that's not true. The question of guilt is laid out by a jury of peers, the judge is just there to hand out a sentence and to rule as to whether or not certain arguments can be applied in a given case.

Granted, there are certain courts where Judges pass out rulings, but not so much in this case.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

That whole jury process basically shows how little he knows.

If you are using OJ Simpson to show why Jameis is innocent, you are fighting a losing battle.  OJ is the epitomy of why guilty people can get off.  I'm not sure Jameis did it by any means, but I'm also not completely sure.  It's 50/50 to me...thats not innocent, but not good enough either way.

So Jameis not being convicted doesn't mean he is guilty or not guilty... wow what a revelation!

No one has been able to prove his guilt.  But no one has been able to prove his innocence either.

The only thing we know for a fact is that there isnt enough evidence to within a reasonable doubt determine his guilt.  Which isnt unheard of in sexual assault cases.

Exactly.  Either that, or we can all play dumb and act like just because he wasn't charged that he is innocent.

Or just because he wasn't charged he may be innocent. Again, don't get the relevance of this statement. He may be innocent and he may not. Earth shattering stuff right there ufc.

Again, nowhere did I say he was guilty.  I also don't think the girl has gotten a fair shake.

Ok so what is the point of saying just because he wasn't charged doesn't mean he is innovent? It doesn't mean he is guilty either. In other words, you aren't saying anything.

If she is lieing then she has gotten far and above a "fair shake". The media in general seems to be on her side. And if she was raped then it is a tragedy. There is no middle ground here.

You are getting good at twisting words.

I think up to this point its pretty obvious what I was saying.  If you are comfortable taking what I said and turning it into this post then there is no point in going on with you.

Not twisting anything. I just don't get the point of repeating that he may or may not be guilty. Well duh! No one truly knows except for him and the girl.

How has she not "gotten a fair shake"?
