The great big Blackmon thread (merged)

Maybe next time Caldwell says they're acting under the assumption Blackmon will never be back people will listen.

Nah they'll just go back to insulting Ryan O.

This is what I always figured it was. I don't know if it's been confirmed what it was for, I doubt that it has based simply on hipa rules, but as you said, based on his past.

Isn't this the same exact "report" we got from Mark Long last week, that nobody else could confirm? Didn't Ryan O ask the NFLPA who said no reinstatement was filed? I'm just confused as to how/why Mark Long is the only person on this planet that has any Blackmon info.

I mean, you guys read in to what you want, but Mark Long is the same professional who confirmed the Jags wouldn't draft Dante Fowler.

It's reasonable that he applied for and was denied reinstatement. It's not reasonable for someone to apply for reinstatement with dirty pee, however; especially after rehab. That's a $10 million gamble that I don't think anyone would make.

Justin has done stupid enough things to this point; it won't surprise me if he failed another drug test. I'm not gonna hang him out to dry because Mark Long said so.

The sad thing is that the NFLPA has done nothing to help Blackmon, on or off the field, but have been all-hands-on-deck for Josh Gordon, a guy who is also a repeat offender.

I don't know the whole story so I won't blame them, but I will say from my point of view, that the NFL is making an example out of Blackmon while the NFLPA simply lets it happen.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

<span style="color:rgb(41,47,51);"><span style="font-family:Arial;">He won't be able to apply again until he's 26, so this is probably the end of Blackmon.

Confirmed via @APMarkLong that Justin Blackmon DID apply for reinstatement and was denied.

Well he's got well over a year to get in shape and then let us all down again.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

NFL have been out for Justin ever since he scared the Buncos with 14 catches for 190 yards.  Manning considered lobbying the NFL for a rule change outlawing the slant pass for players wearing Number 14.  But Roger said not to worry, Justin is about to fail a drug test.

The only people upset by this news would be those foolish enough to think he may actually come back.

agreed...a quick web search shows quite a few websites saying he applied and was denied, but none of them have any source other than the tweet from  Mark Long...If we knew who his agent is, we might be able to shoot an email to him

Tom Brady deliberately disrespected the integrity of the NFL and the most punishment I can see the NFL handing out is a 4 game suspension
