Most people don't share that sentiment.  In this instance, I would tend to agree with you. 

 

I'm not sure what we'd be cheering for.  Killing this terrorist doesn't do anything to bring back the victims who lost lives, and it's not going to do anything for the people who suffered trauma of one form or another.  It placates the population that wants justice meted out on the same level as the crime committed.  Justice would just as easily be served by locking this guy up and throwing away the key.  It's still a death sentence.  It's just a little slower burn.  Most people want instant vengeance. 

 

Real justice would be to sentence him to life, and put him in the worst federal prison in the country in general population.  Nature would take care of the rest.
