Boy does this make me feel ancient

Quote:I remember seeing The Rolling Stones at the old Capitol Center in Landover Maryland. Bobby Womack opened for them. This was during their Tattoo You Tour in 1981. Tickets were $20 a pop (most concerts back then were like $12 a ticket) Womack stunk up the stage, everyone was shouting "We Want The Stones". We had seats behind the stage but it was still a great concert experience.I saw this show at the Univ of CO when George Thorogood and Heart opened for them. Awesome experience.
Kaishakunin for hire.

Quote:Gene Simmons hair looks like some sort of licorice cotton candy lol, Now that's pretty funny.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:I worked for them for almost 15 years. Started out in Prudential Healthcare, and left when Aetna completed the purchase and shut down the data center here in town. I was close to the person who ran PRAC here in Jax, so any time there was a good ticket opportunity, I'd get prime seats. We also got great discounts for all the theme parks in the area. One of the two times I had an opportunity to sit in a luxury suite for a Jaguars game, it was courtesy of PRAC.Hey I was a member of the original cut Pru crew! I remember when the layoffs first happened in 2002? (after Aetna bought Prudential and promised nobody would be laid off). Everyone stood around their cubicle waiting for their phone to ring to be called in and fired. Popping up and down like gophers. Nobody was really sitting and working. If someone's phone rang everyone would start saying goodbye, and hugging and saying goodbye. It was like waiting on the firing squad. I think 3000 were let go in one week. It sucked. I made it to perhaps day 3 before my phone rang, after 8 years of service. Sniff. Anyway back on topic, the old saying "the world leaves us before we leave the world", gets truer every year. There are things in everyone's head that are soon to be lost forever, seeing the Eagles with Jimmy Buffet opening, AC/DC coming every year, dressing up in KISS makeup, Remember the yearly Orlando superbowl of rock concerts when There would be like 3 prime acts together? ZZ TOP, Van Halen, John Cougar? I even caught Elvis last concert here because my parents wanted to go, he was blitzed out of his mind and died a few months later. Good times. Seger just covered it. Really - Allman wrote it and an Allman Brothers roadie (Payne) contributed a few lyrics.
I feel validated
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.
