Jimbo being at 19 is a joke, especially with guys like Jim Mora, Gary Pinkel, Brian Kelly, David Cutcliffe, etc. ahead of him. He's easily a top 10 coach right now.

 

I also disagree with Harbaugh being at 6. He hasn't coached in college in what, five or six years now? I know he's a good coach, but don't think he should be that high right now.

I always wonder if they factor recruiting into lists like this.  They seem to use it as a knock against Saban, saying he has top classes but hasn't won the big one.  In reality, recruiting is the backbone to a good team, and it's really hard to continue to win the big one over and over.

 

I don't put much stock into stupid lists like this, although I would agree Jimbo is closer to top 10 than 19th.

They have to factor in recruiting I would think at this level.

Spurrier and Stoops too high. Spurrier has been disappointing for a while. Top 10? I am surprised by some of the coaches ahead of Jimbo, but I'm biased so whatever. Urban as number 1 seems like a no brainer.

What's funny is Spurrier spent years mocking the SEC schools stuck in mediocrity. Now he is fully entrenched.

2013 (5th ranked class in the country)

Further, I'm not worried about California. Harbaugh already has plenty of ties and respect there from what he did at Stanford and in SF. We'll see what he can do throughout the rest of the country, but if Hoke could bring in top 10 classes, Harbaugh should be able to.

Mostly northern kids on that list. One kid from the south, and he's the lowest ranked one. And only one west coast. I'll believe Harbaugh can come into the south and grab a kid from likes of Saban, Fisher or Miles when he actually does it.
