The Bills were probably the biggest reason why Dan Marino only made it to one Super Bowl during his career.

As a matter of fact, the Bills and Dolphins faced each other 3 times in the playoffs during that Kelly/Marino era.


The Bills defeated the Dolphins all three times. One of those playoff games was actually the AFC Championship Game, played in Miami. I believe that Frank Reich played in that one though, idk for sure.


Anyway, yes. Marino was knocked out of the playoffs by the Bills at least 3 times,, even in the AFCC at home, which really had to sting.

Football is so hard to compare across era's.  The game is so different today.  Much easier to be a QB these days and put up a ton of yards.  And the short passing game has really become the hallmark of modern passing.  

 

Anyways I think any top 10 list would have to include Montana, Elway, Marino, Manning, and Brady.

 

It's amazing to me a guy like Johnny Unitas is still top 10 alltime in TDs.  You would think all sorts of more modern players would have surpassed him.
