This year we would have been in discussion of a new contract with a QB, but instead gene took Gabbert. Because he thought he was pretty enough to play QB. Probably one of my worse moments as a Jaguars fan. When asked why they chose Gabbert, Gene started talking about the kids looks ........ Uhh if that wasn't a bad sign idk what was haha

 

Yep, this is the year all of those big decisions would have been made by Gene Smith.  How do you pay Gabbert $150 million and still be able to afford pro bowlers like Alualu and Blackmon.  Throw in those steals we go with D'Anthony Thomas and Larry Hart.  Something has to give.... never going to keep them all.
