An interesting blurb from the Tweets is that Pasztor is being moved back inside. Previously, many thought that he was going to be our swing T. There really isn't any "proven" T other than the starters, which...I'm guessing this means that one of the younger guys (Brennan Williams perhaps?) is showing up, allowing Pasztor to swing back inside.

I found this interesting too.  I didn't think he played well at guard a few years ago and I remember he and Caldwell talking about how he was better suited to play tackle and it was a good move when he went to RT.

If he's being outplayed by depth tackles though, that's probably a very good sign for this O-line.

It could also just be the coaching staff playing around with different options now to see who might offer the most versatility as they start to pare down the roster.  I wouldn't read too much into anything they're doing right now on either line.

Think i'm going to hold judgement on offensive line play until the pads are on. Can't judge anyone with the pads off when their job involves more pads than any other position....

Fowler blows out an ACL by standing up and Sample breaks an arm swatting at a ball.  Why do I feel like a Browns fan sometimes?

That's kind of the point I was trying to make above.  All of this speculation based on something happening in OTAs is pointless.  Gus said in his presser today that most of these practices are more like walk throughs at half speed.  There are some team drills, but it's still non contact and no pads, so the linemen can hand check and do other stuff, but they can't engage, so if they're moving Bowanko around in OTAs, so what?  He's not the only one they're probably trying at different spots.  One thing we know about this staff is that they love guys who are versatile and can offer them more than role to fill.

Pasztor could never be a swing tackle. That implies that he would back-up LT as well. I could go without seeing Pasztor at LT in this lifetime.

yeah. yester year. About the move though, could be a scheme fit they like. Maybe Austin is somewhat of a road grater for the run game, inside.

That would be a massive right side of the line; 6'6" and 6'7" 300lbs+ each.

The Lions have one playoff win since 1957. The bills lost 4 straight superbowls, and in the following year the music city miracle happened. We don't have it so bad now, do we?

<p class="">My hot take from Jaguars OTA: Allen Robinson is a beast to cover, especially near the goal line

Man A-Rob is seemingly gonna be a stud. But it remains to be seen when the pads are on and it's game time. But I know from what we saw last year he was having a beast rookie season before he went down.

It's still a curious move. I would understand it if we're taking someone from a position of strength and testing him somewhere that is a position of weakness. An example would be at FS, where we just lost Sample. We have a pretty good group of CBs with House, McCray, Colvin, and Gratz fighting for 3 spots. Would I have been surprised if they decided to try out Colvin or Gratz at FS with the lack of bodies there (Sample and even Evans out)? No, I wouldn't.

Instead, the opposite seems to be happening. We're taking a guy from a position of weakness (no one really at Tackle behind the starters) and trying him at a position of strength (Linder/Beadles/Cann and Wiz who can swing to G).

Keep in mind that Austin was already a G before we shifted him to T. This isn't exactly experimentation, given that he was more of a known commodity as a G. If anything, his shift to RT was the experimentation.
