Favorite TV Show

If I had to pick a favorite, it would be All in The Family.  I can watch reruns today and still laugh my butt off.  Archie Bunker was the best.

The best show by far was Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Great choice.

I totally forgot about All in the Family when putting together my list.   This was definitely one of my favorite shows.   All in the Family had at least a couple of spinoff shows.

The spinoff shows weren't as good as the original series IMHO.

Can you imagine the "outrage" if a show like All in the Family or The Jeffersons was produced today?

There would be major protests and boycotting if they tried to produce a show like All in the Family today.

BTW, what is that new show "Blackish" about, I've only seen a preview or 2 for it and don't really know what it is about?

It would keep the PC police busy for decades.

The Wire is the greatest show I have ever seen. For a while I was convinced that I'd never enjoy a show as much as Breaking Bad until I went back and watched The Wire, which premiered about decade ago.

The Wire is just on another level when it comes to detail, realism, storytelling and social commentary. Dozens of interesting, complex characters whose stories are all intertwined. An endless supply of quotable dialog. Laugh out loud moments and heartbreaking scenes all in the same episode. It is basically 5 seasons of perfection.

Not to mention Omar, the most bad [BLEEP] character in TV history. "You come at the King, you best not miss."

Quote:I was a fan. Hank is a great character. But I felt like it kind of sputtered towards the end. Especially the last season with his annoying son.

hank is a phenomenal character. his son on the last season was pretty terrible but all in all.... i loved the show.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

King of Queens - I'm surprised to hardly see anyone mention this. Kevin James is hilarious. I didn't start watching it until it was being shown as reruns every night. I didn't know what I was missing.

Big Bang - Same here. Started watching late.

Freaks and Geeks - in some ways I can relate to this show.

Walking Dead - caught up with the series on Netflix...been hooked ever since.

Lost - watched every week for many years. Great suspense, but a pretty lame ending to the series.

NYPD Blue - one of my favorite primetime dramas. One of the few that kept me coming back each week.

I have been watching House of Cards. I just finished season one over the weekend.

After I finish watching all the seasons, I plan on watching the original British version.

It is terrific.
