I find it odd that teams have banners that aren't "Superbowl Winners". Surely that's the only thing that matters? If you lose in the Superbowl or finish 1-15 you still lost the season.

I don't see anything wrong with hanging an AFC or NFC champion banner for the season the team wins their conference.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

But really? Jag fans raggin on what Colts do? Let's change the win ratio before smack talk.

Man, I would talk smack about us if we did that too. That's just embarrassing and stupid.

We helped them even more the year we beat them and practically handed them Luck.

Exactly. Where's our thank you banner in Lucas Oil Stadium. ...

"This banner is dedicated to the Jacksonville Jaguars for defeating us in 2011 and handing us Andrew Luck in 2012. Thank You."

We are responsible for like 80% of their wins when you think about it.  Really we should be the one's putting up the banner.

Banners for being a division or conference champion make sense. Banners for getting stomped in the conference championship don't.

I think we need a banner for 365

So the colts put up a banner to commemorate a 45-7 loss? I didn't realize the Jaguars had played so many games worthy of commemoration the last few years.

Too bad the Jags will never be able to hang a banner of any sort as long as they play in the Colts division. Well maybe if they start giving awards for most years picking in the top 5 in the draft. Losers will grasp any straw they can to try and big the big boys down. Have fun with another 3-4 win season.

Sounds a lot like deflategate, really. Change Jags to colts, colts to pats, and it's really kind of the same sentiment. Have the colts gotten to within double digits of the pats outside of the first few drives of any of their games?

will we get a banner for it?

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

The Jags roster is being built for the future. Your roster has almost no depth behind the ancient FA's you guys acquired. Even our 7th round TE out of Notre Dame was ranked as a top TE coming out of HS, a 5 star recruit but just didn't have the playing time to gather attention. Our 3rd round pick was one of the most beastly guards in the SEC, and Michael Bennett was stolen by us as a 6th round pick. Seriously, who is your back up behind Frank Gore? How old is Gore now anyway?

The days of Gene Smith are gone. You guys aren't walking through the AFCS anymore. Hell, even the Titans are moving forward. You guys are built for now, but that's it.

"Built for now".. Come on, anytime you have a franchise quarterback the window stays open and Luck is young. But until they get a defense things will be like how it was for many of Peyton's seasons.. Lots of regular season success, that doesn't translate in the postseason.

Now if we could only find a QB, because we're the other side of the coin.. I expect us to have one of the top defensive units in the league next season.

I would take Drew Brees over Luck every day of the week but that doesn't mean the Saints are going to the Super Bowl. It takes a lot more than a franchise QB to keep the window open in today's league.
