I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:I asked bourdemew what basis he could equate social conservatives with the Taliban, Tj responded Dylan roof suggesting he is evidence social conservatives are the American Taliban as bourdemew put it. You're making the assumption that he considers Dylan Roof a social conservative because he's white.

Quote:Call me when their country of birth is called into question. Far less offensive than the various forms of Uncle Tom and House such n such that black people like Clarence Thomas were subjected to. But its ok when leftists do it, so... “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
Quote:I'm so glad my family doesn't associate with people that liken gay marriage to 9/11. I'd keep my son FAR away from such an individual. The tragedy of the event was obviously much greater with 9/11 in that many lives were lost, this country has not been the same since 9/11, however. The same will come from this. I thought society was going to collapse with the whole gay marriage thing, must say I am disappointed.
Quote:I thought society was going to collapse with the whole gay marriage thing, must say I am disappointed. This thread is collapsing pretty damn quickly.

Quote:The big question now remaining is: Will this ruling mark the beginning of the end of the "Wall of Separation" that has existed between church and state in America for the past 239 years? how can we expect gay rights groups and the media to respect the teachings of religious denominations and not demand marriage equality from the church's? Divorce lawyers must be pleased with this ruling, they just had their client base increased.
Same sex marriage equals same sex divorce. Quote:Divorce lawyers must be pleased with this ruling, they just had their client base increased. That'll be an interesting dynamic to watch. I suspect that early on, divorce rates will be lower as compared to the norm, as many of the couples being married (or most?) have been together for years and years already, living as a married couple but without state recognition. For them, this will be merely a formality before they go back to living their everyday lives. As time goes by, I'd be surprised if the divorce rate among same-sex couples didn't creep up towards the 40-50% mark of heterosexual couples (per the American Psychological Association) that end their marriages in divorce.
Quote:I can't speak for Ted Cruz but I believe his mindset is along the line of how I feel. Count me in as one that happens to agree politically (for the most part) with you. I think that you and I have lived long enough and seen enough where we both see the direction and course of this country, and at this point in time it's not good. I suspect that most that post in these forums are probably younger, and don't have the life experiences as well as the education that you and I have. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Quote:I've never even seen a gay couple holding hands and kissing in public, most gay people I know are pretty private about their affection. If you ever made it out this way I think you'd change that viewpoint. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Yeah, perspective. It's a heck of a thing. Yea, it's tough understanding discrimination when you are a straight white male in America, innit?
Quote:Funny how the leftist hate is strongest for minorities who run as Republicans. Can't have 'em getting off the plantation. Quote:Did you post this with a straight face? I couldn't agree more with flsprtsgod. The nasty part of politics is going to come out, and it's going to be the left that brings it on. In the past presidential election, Herman Cain was eliminated partly because he was often called an "Uncle Tom". He was "attacked" by liberals not because of his policies or his track record, he was attacked because of his race. Dirt was dug up regarding his past, and he was forced to defend himself against un-true claims against him. Look at what is said regarding Ben Carson or Allen West. by liberal "media" outlets. They are attacked not because of their policies or belief, it's solely because they happen to be conservative black people. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Quote:Dirt was dug up regarding his past, and he was forced to defend himself against un-true claims against him.Like every presidential candidate ever? Bush got slammed over his National guard service, John Kerry got swift boated and Obama faced the whole Muslim/US birth thing. And those are just the ones I can remember of the top of my head. Yeah, because understanding the history of this country certainly prevents white guys from knowing anything about discrimination and how it impacted this country from the very beginning. I know you've got little interest in the history of this country. You've made that abundantly clear. But, to say what you did here? That's pretty bigoted. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Like every presidential candidate ever? Bush got slammed over his National guard service, John Kerry got swift boated and Obama faced the whole Muslim/US birth thing. And those are just the ones I can remember of the top of my head. What is the common denominator regrading all of this? I'll give you a bit of a hint. How much was actually true and false? Next question, how many of these issues actually came out of a campaign? There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Quote:Yea, it's tough understanding discrimination when you are a straight white male in America, innit? Yeah. Shame on him for being white. |
