Quote:damn those teddy shades must look nice. the downplaying of other qbs schtick is getting really annoying. Yes. It must be Teddy Shades. Not the fact that all of his big yardage plays were absolute wide open blown coverage plays. Or the fact that he has misfired on several throws including his 3 INTS. You really need to retire from trying to discuss college players and stick to television shows.

Can you imagine Johnny Manziel and Justin Blackmon....hanging out together on a Saturday night....
Johnny Football will be the peer pressure JB DOESN'T need in his life right now.

Not sure where this thread is heading.....
But the more I watch Manziel, the more I think he could be successful in the NFL in the right circumstance. You can talk about all his negatives but at some point you just cant ignore the productivity. You dont often see guys put up these numbers against the quality of competition. While Manziel is short and doesnt have the biggest arm, I think the biggest thing he'll have to overcome is himself. If he would mature and become a pro's pro, I think he could be a good player. At some point you just cant deny the talent. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff.
Quote:Not sure where this thread is heading..... Will he stop making awful decisions? Because He now has 11 INTs and should probably have like 6 more that he got away with courtesy of his receivers.

Manziel has that gunslinger mentality. He'll need to make better decisions in the pros but at this point he's going to throw them...but he'll throw TDs too.

And do you think he is going to be able to scramble the way he does when he gets in the NFL where rishers/edge guys are much stronger and faster? I don't.
TEST
Well thats on him. Again if the guy can transform himself into a pro's pro and put in the hard work in the film room, then I think his mistakes would go down. But thats on him. If he had Drew Brees personality/work ethic, then you would probably pencil Manziel to go no later than Brees who was the very beginning of the 2nd round. I wont say Manziel is necessarily more athletic than Brees (Andy Roddick who was the best US mens tennis player of a generation was always 2nd best best in the state of texas growing up behind who... Drew Brees) however I would say Manziel is more of a playmaker athletically than Brees ever was at Purdue.

He'll be able to move and he'll have some success but it won't be the same success he'll see in college.
