I honestly, I'm not sure I want Hunter back because he has been disappointing, but... This just doesn't seem like something he would be involved in. He has had his struggles on the field, no doubt, but this is first time I've had to question his character. Kind of interested in how this shakes out.

  At the very least,  Josh Gordon is extremely football gifted,  and would almost certainly be a top 10 WR if he had good football character.   

 

 

  The sad reality is all 4 of the players you mentioned will very likely be remembered from their off the field history than what they accomplished on the field.   In the case of Justin Hunter,  he was on the path to being a bust even without the off the field baggage.  This despite having natural talent most WRs only can dream about.  

 

As bad as we feel about Blackmon. When Gordon was playing, he may have been the best wide receiver in the league.

 

Both those guys, had they kept themselves clean, were looking at ten million dollar a year deals. For Gordon it would have been Dez Bryant/Demariyus Thomas money.
