Tom Brady suspension to be upheld
|
New excuses from Brady. Originally he said, “I wasn’t going to surrender my phone under any circumstances.”
Now he says: “No one said I’d be disciplined for not producing my phone.” Tom, that would be called a CIRCUMSTANCE. And you weren't disciplined for not producing your phone. That's a purposeful deception. The penalties were already handed out, for lying to the investigators and for your likely culpability in the deflation scheme. Your hearing was a chance to provide new evidence; instead you reported you had destroyed the best potential source of evidence. So, the penalties were upheld. Lol more sillieness. Brett favre got a 50k fine for not turning over and his investigation was directly related to texting activity! The nfl knew this was a poison pill with the union and used it to cover their utter lack of scientific evidence. If the science isnt straight forward and u have the phones of any potential co conspirator then what more do u want? All this over less than half a pound of psi and 100 seconds in a bathroom. Really?
Quote:It certainly smells of a God-El vengeance. The appeal was not handled professionally. It was obviously a kangaroo "court." How dare anyone appeal the King's ruling, and not bow and kiss the ring. The funny part about the anti Goodell nonsense is that before he was best buddies with the Pats and that is why they didn't get in trouble. Now he takes a tough stance against the Pats and its vengeance. lol

You keep saying the same few things over and over like it's going to change things. Goodell is setting a precedent.....lets not act like this is the first time the Patriots have been caught cheating, and then tried to cover it up. The opinion was the NFL was helping the Patriots cheat during their past transgressions, and now they are forced to pay the piper and you guys get really mad about it. I have an idea....stop cheating.
It wasnt the organization that was implicated it was brady and two guys not employed the. Belichick and jradt were both exhaunerated. If allen robinson fails a drug test from being around marijuana use should he be indefinately suspended because of the precedent set by justin blackmon reghie williams and matt jones

This is basically 31 other owners punching the Pats in the mouth. Stop cheating.

When the same team with the same management/players/coaches are accused over and over again than that shows there is a pattern of cheating and deceiving. Quit trying to make yourself feel better. Quote:Please enlighten us to the alleged pattern of cheating for tom brady. It's a culture. He allowed it. Why did he have a 20 minute conversation with the equipment guy and then a 14 minute meeting.....to then say he didn't recall what they talked about? He's a liar, you know it, but you have gone so far into this discussion that you can't turn back now. It's sad. I should stop responding to you, but what you are saying is so asinine that its hard not to. Quote:It's a culture. He allowed it. What culture are you talking about? you have to be more specific. You can't just say its a culture and not back it up! what did he himself do? Wait a minute. so the day AFTER the story breaks, the guy talked to Jastremski for a Grand total of 34 minutes and you think that is proof of a vast conspiracy BEFORE the AFC championship game? 1.) How did they figure this out? They had Jastremskis phone. just like they had belichicks phone, the equipment managers phone, assistant coaches phones etc. etc. In all that mountain of data we isolated about a dozen texts over the course of almost a full year and hundreds of thousands of pieces of individual correspondence that then had to be taken out of context! 2.) Prove to me that Tom Brady RECALLS the conversation and lied about it. Could it be that he was asked about it what 3 months after the conversation took place? what was the topic of conversation over dinner with your wife on 4/22/15. hurry up you better be specific and don't tell me you don't recall because that's just not plausible. 3.) the commissioner and your ilk are so desperate to support this witch hunt that they use the fact that Brady made it clear his preference was 12.5 as an inference that he wanted to circumvent the playing rules. That's preposterous. That's like someone saying "i drive the speed limit" is proof of reckless driving! 4.) NFL EMPLOYEES were caught RED HANDED tampering with game balls for personal financial gain to sell memorabilia and facilitated the introduction of a K ball to the referee for PLAY! And that's in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. 5.)Walt Anderson DOES NOT RECALL what gauge he used to measure the footballs before the game. a.)The purported difference in PSI drop between the colts footballs is Fundamentally congruent with the difference of sensitivity the two gauges and b.) based on the readings at halftime of the logo gauge the patriots balls were more likely than not inflated to the proper level of inflation before being exposed to game conditions. (The NFL LIED about that when they leaked the idea that we were talking about 2 pounds or more to the press). c.) Walt Anderson didn't know during the game if he remembered to initial all the game balls or not. d.) During the measurement at halftime there is observed anomalies in the recording of Data. e.) Post game some of the patriots re-inflated (by the refs) footballs measured above the legal limit of ball inflation which is a direct violation on the part of the REFS of the same rule that Brady is accused of breaking. The same allegation has been made about the refs during the Jets game. So WHAT INTEGRITY! f.) and most importantly... huh... During half time, when the first ball from the Indianapolis Colts averaged below legal limits on both gauges THEY STOPPED MEASURING FOOTBALLS. you want to talk about phantom Text messages, THE CHAIN OF DIRECT PHYSICAL SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE FOR THE CONTROL GROUP OF FOOTBALLS WAS CUT OFF THE MOMENT IT BECAME INCONVENIENT TO THE NARRATIVE THE LEAGUE ADMITS THEY BEGAN TO CREATE BEFORE THE GAME!!! Explain that, justify that, and then get back to me! that being said, by any rational understanding the initial finding of probable cause for an investigation based on the hap hazard data collected during the game, in the fundamental and admitted absence of standard protocol to monitor PSI levels, would be THROWN OUT!

Love these bandwagon Cheatriot fans trying to support their face of the franchise. Can anyone really believe he's innocent? Just listen and look at him, Brady knows he cheated and he has been cheating for years. Brady knows he's guilty but he's gone this far and has no out but to continue this damage control train. What's done is done. He should just plead guilty and accept his slap on the wrist four game suspension. Not like he or any of the Cheatriots have learned anything from this. They'll continue to find ways to exploit loopholes Quote:The funny part about the anti Goodell nonsense is that before he was best buddies with the Pats and that is why they didn't get in trouble. God-El is a clown and has had to walk back many poor decisions. That is undeniable fact. He is not generally well liked by anyone. I take it you missed the last several drafts where he's been booed at the podium. Before every. single. selection. Quote:#becausescience I'm no bandwagon fan, or fan at all. To me it's crystal clear the NFL failed to make their case against Brady. In the end, they had no direct evidence. They could only say that "something" happened. They don't know who did that something, how someone did that something, or whether Brady knew about whatever was done. So, since all they could actually prove is that "something" happened but didn't know who or how... I can understand the team punishment. There was no smoking gun. There were no fingerprints. There was only the product of "something" happening by "someone" to reflect on. Looking at the facts of the case, they had nothing on Brady and still don't. That's what God-El is angry about, and he didn't pursue any of the information Brady gave them because he chose not to. Some folks must not text if they don't realize a text with a contact shows up on both phones, and there weren't any incriminating texts from him on the subject to either of the guys the NFL think (but again didn't prove) may have deflated the balls. If the NFL had bothered following up on the information Brady gave them, they likely would have found the same thing to be true with his other contacts as well. Why didn't they? They admit to laziness. The real answer is that if they followed up they couldn't stand by their take that he was uncooperative, because he cooperated by giving that information. By ignoring it, they fell back on their predetermined conclusion rather than following the facts they failed to obtain. If you're going to accuse someone, you have to make the case. They certainly did not by any measure re:Brady. Punish the team? Sure. That fits the "accuracy" of the "investigation." I'll also go a step further and point out once again the NFL had all the power to prevent it from happening, but (like with not pursuing the information Brady offered) they chose not to. There's no reality where that's acceptable. Only now, after the fact, have they talked about changing their procedures to *ghasp* actually enforcing the rule. But that really isn't surprising coming from a commissioner with such a poor record. Always cleaning up his own messes after the fact, instead of being wise enough to prevent them in the first place.

One disagreement Pirkster, NOTHING happened. The balls as measured at halftime were at the expected pressure for the field temperature after being inflated to 12.5 psi indoors before the game.
One can blabber all they want about Brady 'lying' or 'withholding evidence', but the bottom line is that the balls were not tampered with. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" Quote:God-El is a clown and has had to walk back many poor decisions. That is undeniable fact. He is not generally well liked by anyone. You do realize Brady isn't being punished for deflating balls right? He's being suspended for his actions during and after the investigation. Which falls under "conduct detrimental to the league" Is the commish sloppy? At best. Is he a fan-favorite? Not at all. Do the owners like him? Yes they do. Even Kraft... until now, when he's the one taking the punishment. This shouldn't even be in federal court. The CBA was written and signed and agreed upon. Deal with it. Frickin unions man.... Been that way since Belicheat showed up it seems. Always finding a way to get an edge, and then deny deny deny when busted. It's cool though. Some people like the bad guys.

Quote:You do realize Brady isn't being punished for deflating balls right? And part of labor law requires that even in instances where individuals or entities are granted special powers of discipline within the realm of their private industry the party exercising said power still has to act with a reasonable measure of Fairness and Symetry. You can be the judge jury and executioner, but you can't continually rewrite the law as you see fit. As you just pointed out, the discipline handed down is being based on a lack of cooperation. 1.) the initial requests could be deemed unreasonable based on the fundamental stance that the union takes about its employees handing over electronic devices carte blanche. 2.) Brett Favre was cited for non cooperation, he didn't hand over his cell phone and he got a 50k fine. That's a long way from four games and having your name raked through the coals. |
