I don't give a damn if he snubs the media or the cameras like Lynch or dresses up like a Liberace bozo like Clinton Portis..

Quote:You replied seriously to someone making an obvious (to everyone else) joke. That, plus your original post in this thread, is embarrassing. You sir, are a hoot. Thanks for the laughs as you try to be "eentelllugeeeint" and know exactly what I'm talking about. When I generated the initial post, I was looking for something like below........ Quote:I met him a few time at bars and social gatherings in tuscaloosa. Living here you met and interact with most players on alabamas team. hew was a nice guy but very quiet and stand offish. He also didnt get sloppy drunk very resposible guy from what i could tell.Someone here utilized personal experience and indicated their thoughts and observations with the guy which clarified one thing for me. That the guy's not what my 2 initial observations thought they were, which is what I was going for. Thanks rolljagsroll for finally providing some worthy insight in an adult and rational manner. See that's not so hard is it Bon? Quote:You sir, are a hoot. Thanks for the laughs as you try to be "eentelllugeeeint" and know exactly what I'm talking about. There wouldn't be three pages of you getting drug through the mud if they were.
Oh man, I sure was drug through the mud gosh!!! Well, this is the part where I fade into the shadows and merely use the board as a platform of additional news I otherwise don't find on the team I love like I always have. Such a shame to share being a fan with some people.

Kind of agree with predator BigJag57. Stop getting all butt hurt just because you created a bad post.
Quote:Or is T.J. Yeldon just kinda.........I guess either snobbish, or seemingly disinterested? I mean, don't get me wrong, as long as he performs on the field, that's pretty much all that matters. But compare his demeanor say, MJD or Freddie, and dude just doesn't seem passionate. He had a prime opportunity to work with Blake these past 5 weeks to pick up and learn and yet he spent time at home by himself. I don't even care much about that if dude at least spent like a week or something.Good Lawd, Just no. No to this whole post. Most outlandish, childish post of the off season. Immediately impose a self ban on yourself. Thank you.

Who cares ? As long as he is a beast on the field. Just look at Marshawn. Not saying he will ever be Marshawn but you get the point.

I watched the Yeldon press conference and have no idea was the OP is talking about.
He just comes across as serious and soft spoken. It seemed like he had a hard time understanding what Vito was saying. But other than that, I don't really know what prompted this thread. Quote:I watched the Yeldon press conference and have no idea was the OP is talking about. I tend to agree. After three pages of comments, I decided I should probably take a look at the video. I guess instead of stand-offish I would use 'wary'. He seemed to be trying to make sure he said the right things. He also showed some personality, chuckled a few times, and seemed MUCH more articulate than Freddy did when he first started. Poor Fred, those first interviews were painful!, I sort of expected the same based on the OP, and came away pleasantly surprised. I think he will actually make for a good interview maybe a year down the road.

He's a young football player under a microscope on a team desperate to claw its way out of the cellar. I'm not a psychologist, but a touch of media/social anxiety would seem to be a normal human reaction.
Kaishakunin for hire.

Plus, this is the feel out, getting to understand each other time between the rookies and media. Relationship building. Over time, things take shape.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars.
I've met TJ's mom and dad. When asked if he was excited to finally play in the league and get drafted, they told me "no, TJ doesn't really get excited."
It's just his personality. Military style and work oriented. I actually think it's quite refreshing.

Ha, interesting response from the parents. Surely, 'excited' by you didn't mean if he's going all woo hoo, yeeha, I made it. Rather, the sense of accomplishment to be in the big league. I don't mind the staid business like approach either.

Terminators never show emotion and when he terminates opposing linebackers (metaphorically speaking of course), you'll know what I'm talking about.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I don't care about his interview skills. I care about him holding on to the football. He's already put the ball on the ground first day.
Quote:I don't care about his interview skills. I care about him holding on to the football. He's already put the ball on the ground first day. I wouldn't sweat that fumble. It was on the back end of a play. Being a rookie he made a mistake thinking it was over, imo. He won't make that mistake again Fred and MJD used to keep running after plays were long over. Even yesterday, the vets did the same thing, and so did he after that fumble. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
