The great big Blackmon thread (merged)

Quote:So it is pretty clear as a matter of fact crystal clear the ball is in Blackmon's hands and he won't pick it up. Stick a fork in him he's done maybe over done. Get over it bitter clingers holding onto hope that doesn't exist.

'Bitter clingers'? Boy is that dumb.

2003: No. 7 overall: QB Byron Leftwich - 10 minute wind-up that could throw the ball around the planet twice.

2004: No. 9 overall: WR Reggie Williams - #9 overall???

2005: No. 21 overall: WR Matt Jones - Got coke?

2006: No. 28 overall: TE Marcedes Lewis - I don't hate this pick; but his production does not equal his huge contract.

2007: No. 21 overall: S Reggie Nelson - Why play for the Jags when you can bathe in the sun, make that money, then go really play for Cinci?

2008: No. 8 overall: DE Derrick Harvey - I don't even want to talk about this...

2009: No. 8 overall: T Eugene Monroe - Maybe the best pick out of the whole lot; and that's not saying much...

2010: No. 10 overall: DT Tyson Alualu - Love the guy! But not a #10 overall player. I can't remember exactly, but didn't we trade up too??

2011: No. 10 overall: QB Blaine Gabbert - SMDH...........

2012: No. 5 overall: WR Justin Blackmon - Puff puff pass. *cough* I have HOF talent and skill, but I'd rather pass...

2013: No. 2 overall: T Luke Joeckel - Not sure yet on this one.

2014: No. 3 overall: QB Blake Bortles - Could be the savior we're looking for (forgot to add him lol). But he's a positive, so that's why haha.

2015: No. 3 overall: DE Dante Fowler Jr - ACL tear in first rookie mini camp..... #becauseJaguars

Holy crap like no other..... Thank you so much Gene "Whiff" and "Shack Attack"!!

Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Quote:Jags GM doubts Justin Blackmon plays again

Justin Blackmon | JAC

(August 4, 2015 12:39 PM EDT)

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell said he doubts suspended WR Justin Blackmon ever plays NFL football again.

"Realistically, when you're away from the game for two-and-a-half years, what you were once is not what you will probably be -- your skills do erode, especially when you're not in shape and not in top football shape," Caldwell said, adding that getting back into the league doesn't appear to be a priority for Blackmon. The Times-Union reports the only reason the Jags haven't cut Blackmon is because they're trying to recoup several million of the $7.11 million signing bonus he received as the No. 5 overall pick in 2012.

JB could be a Jag 4 Life !!!   This is great !!  Don't have to bring him back for his retirement.

So dumb question but how do the Jags get some of that money back?
