Training Camp Twitter Update thread

Quote:You mean, we should be able to split the series. We swept them in year 1 of rebuild, with a shell of a team. I'm not sure a win vs. your division rival, a team with some potentially glaring holes, is a steal. It should be expected, but that's me.

Edit; able not a...
Yeah but we got swept by them last year.

Let's face it.  We were 3 and 13 last year.  Not sure if we can presume any win at this point, even with the improvement, even with the glaring holes on our opponents.

Quote:It's rare for a guy to be that big, strong and athletic, his skill set reminds me of Jason Peters (I know Peters is a LT) but they are similar athletes. Parnell has the skillet to be one if the top RT's in football.

Taking RT from a deficit to a strength would be huge for the offense. Looks good so far!

Side note: Parnell has skinny legs for a guy his size.

I hope someone can give us the training camp impressions please.

@mike_e_kaye: Safe to say Roy Miller is healthy. Here's him vs Bowanko. #teamsideline https://t.co/qIUewdOUhh

@mike_e_kaye: Wait? Toby Gerhart? #teamsideline https://t.co/7tu018jjjY

@mike_e_kaye: Chris Smith, yes, Chris Smith just broke up a downfield pass from Jeff Tuel to Ben Koyack in the endzone. #wow

@mike_e_kaye: Just like that, Tommie Campbell picks off Chad Henne. Secondary is eating today.

He put like 4-5 back to back good practices together. This would be the first one that's "off" and can't even really know that from one INT

Frennette:

Bortles rebounds in goal-line with nice TD pas to Hurns #Jaguars

@mike_e_kaye: What a throw by Bortles, what a catch from Allen Hurns. #redzone #teamsideline https://t.co/FapfkS6cWS

@mike_e_kaye: Bortles bullet to Greene for TD. #teamsideline https://t.co/DLle7hV02c

@mike_e_kaye: Bortles just scrambled for a TD. He owned that entire last drill. Very good way to finish a so-so day. Redzone stuff was automatic for Blake

Oline was doing work on that Gerhart run.

@JohnOehser: Three horns. That's a wrap for Day six of Jaguars 2015 training camp. Offense closes with three touchdowns in five red zone plays.

Ha! Blake heard someone was talking trash!

On a serious note, it's awesome to hear he's excelling so well on red zone work. We were pretty decent between the 20s last year but always stalled. Maybe we'll finish some drives with tds instead of settling for fgs this year!

Bouncing back to end strong with 3 TDs at the end of practice? Winners do that stuff.

Roy Miller looked good on that play.  I feel more confident in him now.  But Bowanko, OTOH...

A little bit reminiscent of some of last years bad interceptions.
