Not saying I'm a big Rosie fan. But attacking/ belittling a private citizen...meaning not a competitive political figure...is not very becoming of someone who as a potential POTUS represents the country and it citizens. One liner quips and insults can be left to the comedians.

 

Thus why those that are running didn't come out and "attack" specifically, but put forth the same point of view that you just did.  What Trump said was inappropriate, but the fact gets lost because the story is suddenly "about Megyn Kelly".


 

But those who found it funny, like Hannity did, are surely amused at the Ms.Kelly menstruation issues as well. I suppose everyone has different levels of humor, but as I mentioned..leave that to the Stewarts, Key and Peele,et al.

Point being, that stuff loses respect and in the end... Votes.

 

I personally found the comment amusing, but not about Megyn Kelly, more so Rosie O'Donnell, and she brought it on herself.  I do wonder though, since you've brought up Hannity a couple of times.  Can you post a clip showing where he found the comment funny?



In the end..it will potentially cause Donald to get pissy enough run independent, and voila...say hello to President Clinton.

 

In the end, I would hope that people really look at the facts and see them for what they are.  How anyone can really say that they want Donald Trump to be our next President is beyond me.

Hannity was on with Levin after the debate. He said then he thought the quip was funny. No big deal. You do as well. But as you defend Kelly, did she , as you say Rosie did, deserve it? First thing she asks Trump is things he said about women on his tv shows. Nothing about political issues, etc. she didn't know baiting Trump could lead to him getting nasty? Then she's naive. Otherwise, maybe she deserved it as well. but I get it. Rosie is left Kelly right, so there's bias.

"Blah blah establishment," "blah blah convictions," "blah blah change," and I really don't buy any of it. He looks, talks and acts like a used car salesman, and if he does make his way to the White House, the people who voted for him will be extremely disappointed when he slides right back onto the party line.

Time will tell but I disagree with you.   I don't think there's a candidate in the Republican Party that is better equipped and skilled in handling adversarial questions than Ted Cruz.

While I agree with you on Cruz, you should look further into Sanders in terms of his long history of work as an independent progressive.

 

You may not like Bernie Sanders' policies, but the guy is legitimately working to try and get things done.

I believe Ted Cruz believes things Ted Cruz says. He's found his niche and I have no reason to believe he doesn't believe what he has been saying for many years. 

 

The problem is what he says. He's disingenuous as heck when he does his "Washington cartel" routine. Has he pledged to not run again so he doesn't become part of the cartel? Isn't he just another insider talking about being an outsider, deflecting any responsibility for getting anything done?

 

And if all the stars aligned and he somehow got the nomination, every political consultant would love to direct Hillary's campaign. It would be so easy. They'd have 75% of the voting populace scared to death. This is Mr Shutdown the Government! He's going to stop funding for all government programs! He's going to make us a third world nation because he's an ideological fanatic!

 

He'd make Hillary look reasonable and like the responsible adult. The campaign would be a modern version of Goldwater v. Johnson in 1964, and we know how that turned out.

Megyn Kelly actually asked a valid question that Donald Trump obviously didn't like regarding things that he has said in the past, and she pointed out that it wasn't "just Rosie O'Donnell".

 

Donald Trump turns it around and makes it "all about him" and implies that she was attacking him personally.

 

Facts are such difficult things for some people to grasp.

Some on the right are, but not the people that matter the most (real voters).  Where I work by far the majority of people are republican/right-leaning, and the sentiment was that they could back Trump because he isn't "a politician".  I somewhat agreed with the point and certainly understand that point of view.  As early as last week I heard many around work saying that they would prefer him and shunned people that I like (Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker).  However, after the debate the talk has certainly changed.  Some are talking about Rubio and Cruz as well as Carly Fioroina and Ben Carson.  There is little to no support for Jeb Bush and most can not stand Rand Paul.

 

What is puzzling is how those on the very far right (examples of whom I stated earlier, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham) can be so clearly behind Donald Trump.  I do know that Ringo has brought up Sean Hannity as being very supportive of Donald Trump, but I haven't seen or heard any actual dialog that supports that claim (I did ask Ringo if he could provide a link).  I also don't know what Rush Limbaugh has to say about it.  I don't watch/listen to their shows or read their columns much.

As well as the attacks from him. The media loves him because he's so raw and unfiltered. He's fantastic for ratings. 

 

I don't think he can keep it up though. HE will drop in the polls when people start getting bored with the nonsense and or realize it would be shameful to have that kind of attitude as a president. At least that is my thoughts on it.

One thing that caught my attention is that Michael Savage came out in support of Donald Trump.   Being that I'm convinced Savage is a phony,   it didn't surprise me in the least that he's supporting Trump,  another phony,   in the 2016 Campaign for President.
