Tom Brady suspension to be upheld
|
Quote: Whatever. Brady claimed he didn't know they guy's name or what he did on game days. Or maybe that was McNally. But he'd been giving them GAME-WORN jerseys and other extremely valuable memorabilia. Of course, he blew this off by saying he signs everything anybody asks him to sign. But that's not quite the same thing as saving your sweaty game jersey for the guy. Another deception. And yes, the refs check the balls - AND THEN THE DEFLATOR ADJUSTS THE PRESSURE, usually in the official's locker room after they go down to the field. In the Championship Game, there were too many league officials and other hangers-on in the locker room, hence the bathroom visit with the bag of balls in tow. I still say Belichick should have been suspended a year. "Ignorance is not an excuse" seems to only be for Sean Payton.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Quote:I still say Belichick should have been suspended a year. "Ignorance is not an excuse" seems to only be for Sean Payton. I understand your point that both Peyton and Belichick were both "ignorant" of what was going on (allegedly). However, I disagree with suspending Belichick the same. Bounty-Gate was a program designed to purposely injure other players with knock-out blows, which could've ended people's careers and possibly cause long term health problems. And, it was proven to exist beyond shadow of a doubt. Deflate-Gate was to under inflate footballs a tick below regulations because that's the way the QB liked them. Plus, it has not been proven beyond shadow of a doubt, at all. IMO, Apples and Oranges.
BRADY has made a point of having the balls be under his control, the PATS have, in the past, lobbied the competition committee to have access, to the balls, this has been at least a decade long strategy....just like a player that uses diff. cleats or tapes......whether it is a Real Rule, or just a stickum rule, there is the ? there is no doubt with all the texts, the "I prefer a deflated ball quote," on the podium, the "i like it when gronk slams the ball, it deflates it, i like a deflated ball, " quip, that was a year before and then rehashed...the problem is, it is just a "stickum" f.b. rule, not a holy rule, and has never been fully addressed....to me BOUNTYGATE is the worst infraction.
but why not just say, 4 games and that is it. Most players are taught, 'trust your team'.......i know he wants to play, but JG is a great prospect.....just deal with it if you are out. TB is no criminal, because this is not a true sin like BOUNTYGATE. just a minor rule broken when you have past players whom have been charged with a and b, or violent crimes.....NE and TB, trust your team and backup, GARAPALLO is a good player.......2 and 2 does not sink the season.....i do not think Brady would violate a real rule, like the SAINTS did, and even though his game may rely on psi adjustments, if he knew it would turn into this, he would not have done so. BOUNTyGATE is a sin, you KNOW it is wrong...... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Tiki Barber Says Roger Goodell Should Be Fired
http://tikiandtierney.radio.cbssports.co...-be-fired/
Quote:Tiki Barber Says Roger Goodell Should Be Fired I don't know if he should be fired but I completely agree. People keep excusing and defending Goodell and the NFL for their shady activity because either they are already sure Tom Brady is guilty or just dislike him in general. I guess it's OK to bend the rules when you already predetermined guilt.
Was Tom Brady ambushed?

oof, this is getting good
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...in-canton/ Quote:And there are plenty of questions to answer, from the mischaracterization of Brady’s testimony to the decision not to require testimony from John Jastremski and Jim McNally to the league’s attempt to punish Brady under a policy never given to him to the NFL’s lack of knowledge regarding the natural deflation of footballs in cold weather to the league’s apparent campaign to spread misinformation early in the investigation to the league’s refusal to investigate its leaks to the league’s failure to correct the leaked misinformation although it has a habit of correcting misinformation to the irony of the decision not to hire Columbia to provide scientific expertise due to leaks to the league’s desire to keep the transcript of the Brady appeal hearing secret to whether Ted Wells was truly independent to other stuff I probably haven’t thought about or have forgotten about.
The right thing to do is to remove Godell, Belicheat, and Tom Shady from the NFL.
Things are getting interesting now.

anyway you cut the cake, the pats play slick, "innovative" trickery. not LOMBARDI, or true classical football........without trickery, they are without a lot of weaponry.....they are not the 85 BEARS. PAT football is elite, but not up to the true 'i am in a duel and win with honor' ! without the hurry up at the opp. 45 yd.line (i think they delay the hurry up until they see a substitution, then in a second they go to hurry up after the opponents feets lean) . or the OL player lined up as a receiver.......or pick plays,,,,etc..... they would not win as much as they do now.......I say they are the 5th best dynasty ever...i put 70's Steelers, old school Packers,,,,, 80's 49ers, 72 Dolphins,,,, above them........ cause of the winning without breaks and controversy. CSONKA won, LOMBARDI was in your face, but Bill Belicheck got a picked up flag, a muffed kickoff, a bad play call, and 2 cheating controversies....All other dynasties are more pure.......
Quote:Things are getting interesting now. This is the same thing we've gotten from the start - that Tom Brady is about to wipe the floor with Roger Goodell. So far the Brady Bunch has been wrong every step of the way. But I have no doubt if Tom Brady loses the court case he will appeal to the Supreme Court and we can listen to the Brady Bunch tell us again how Tom is about to win. Maybe the U,N, Council will hear the case after The Supremes send Tom packing.
I hope he loses in the normal court and they have to take it higher. More entertainment

Pattern of abusing power, pre-determining outcomes of "investigations" that lack objectivity and due diligence.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/134042...falo-bills <p style="margin-left:40px;">"There's a lot of stuff that got left out. There's a lot of misinformation." And that's precisely the way Goodell wants it. After all, he's making his case, not an objective case. It's OK Roger, they aren't booing at you, they're booing with you.

Quote:Pattern of abusing power, pre-determining outcomes of "investigations" that lack objectivity and due diligence. While I definitely see many valid points, I'm tired of the players union constantly complaining about unfairness of appeals being heard by Goodell, when its in the CBA that he will have that power. Did they even read the dang thing? |
