Will Denard post 1000 yards from scrimmage?
|
With him being finally healthy and acclimated to his role, I can see him getting at least 650 rushing and 350 receiving.
What say you?

Im hoping for more, but i would be happy with that. Im thinking 800 yrds rushing and what you have as his receiving yards.
I think he will make a difference, but in a backup role that number will be hard to hit.
No. But to have a major impact he doesn't need to have one thousand scrimmage yards.
Keep in mind, we haven't had a player get 1k scrimmage yards since MJD did in 2013 with 803 rushing and 314 receiving yards. Before that it was in 2011 when MJD led the league in rushing yards. It's hard to project two players hitting 1k scrimmage yards this year. Maybe AR15 has a chance. I'd be happy if Denard had 600 yards on 120 rushes and 200 receiving.

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Assuming we're leaving off return yardage then no.
He would have to have a Darren Sproles in his absolute prime type of season to hit it.
If Yeldon is healthy throughout the season? No, but I do think Denard ends up with around 600 yards rushing and 200 yards receiving.
I voted no.
TJ Yeldon is going to be the centerpiece of this offense and won't leave enough carries for Robinson. 400 yards rushing and 250 receiving. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Probably not. Yeldon will get a lot of carries. The highest number of yards Denard may reach should be around 500 to 700.

The topic says yards from scrimmage. I don't think kickoff returns count in this thread.
Total Yards could be over 1k. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
OK
400 rushing 184 receiving (530 KR) Conservative numbers based on not many return opportunities and Yeldon hogging carries Edit: Ahhh- heck - On second thought, he'll do better than that ^ 780 from scrimmage
The GM/HC have said in public that TJ Yeldon is expected to be the primary/feature back (3 down back) with Robinson as a backup, yet they are listed as co-starters in the first preseason game (so Robinson could fight for the a better role, but so could the other RBs on the roster). I wish Shoelace luck like i do Storm, Corey Grant or anyone that help make the team great. We saw D-Rob do some good things towards the end of the season when the OLine got better, but I dont think he'll be able to secure the 2nd spot at RB let alone be the starter (hence no I do not think that he'll get over a thousand yards this season).
If he's behind Yeldon, no chance. Unless he somehow goes crazy with Yeldon and they both put up ridiculous numbers like MJD and Fred did back when they were a duo threat. Gus and the coaches have said we're a run focused offense, so maybe it won't be hard to put up those numbers? It was hard to do that last season and the year before because of our terrible O-line. I'm thinking if our line steps up, we'll see the Jags have a great running game like we use to.

I'm expecting...5-10 touches a game. 4'ish YPA, not sure what to expect with our line. That falls in line with 320-640 YDs. 700 would be nice, no chance he breaks 1,000
I'm not convinced he will last the entire season. I love the way the guy plays, but he looks pretty fragile out there to me. He and Hurns are the 'lightning in a bottle' for this team.
I don't believe he will however I would love to be wrong here. Love to see the jags find ways to keep the ball moving and score often.
