Winners and Losers

#1

Winners: Bortles, Henne, Scobee, Capi, Cyprien, Gerhart

Losers: Storm, Harris, and CB depth

Disappointing: House, LEOs

Notes:

Scobee responded strongly to the Myers challenge.

Joeckel had that one bad play but was solid otherwise. Altogether the OL looked much improved.

I think House still starts, but McCray is better.

But with more people!!

Good: Bortles, ARob, DRob, Right side of the line

Bad: Dline

Ugly: Joke, CB

Bortles will get crushed by mid season if the Joke won't step it up.  He's not even competent at this point.

I don't expect much from the DL when its best players are out: Fowler, Marks, Odrick, Miller, and Clemons. Missing all the starters and it showed. Disappointed that I didn't see Ryan Davis or Chris Smith show up

Even without a sack, I think Chris Smith played well even without a sack

Checked out Pitt's messageboard. They seem upset with Landry Jones. Guess it can be worse than Henne. Not sure why they left him in

I think he's actually their third string QB.   Their second string QB is on PUP.

Henne looked good. It was clear to see the biggest difference between Bortles and he in the third quarter when he got a bit of back of the pocket pressure and tucked the ball and ran into the back of a lineman with his head down until he was sacked. If it were Bortles on that play he would have just stepped up and made a throw. Still Henne was accurate and looked like he knew the offense. I'm not a fan of his, but he looked like a guy that can be a passable backup in the game yesterday.

HAHAHA.  Love the slow clap, and Hackman pulling a Gus: "No matter what the scoreboard says at the end, you are winners in my book!"  2 scoops with sprinkles anyone?

Seeing the game on nfl network and at the bottom of the screen you can see house get open palmed to the ground beyond the 5 yard mark on the long td.. the angle was bad but in my teal eyes if anyone got the flag there it should've been the wr.

I thought I saw him get knocked to the ground, but he seemed to get up quickly so I wasn't sure.  Of course, Channel 4's replay didn't catch that contact.
