Lol that sack he gave up looked a lot like that vine with Ryan Davis other people were trying to use in LJ's defense.

Quote:I'm gonna rewatch the game today, I hear some saying he was bad all game and others saying one or two plays. No offensive lineman is bad in all plays. Usually, the offensive lineman is supposed to "win".. That is the norm. Getting beat like a drum in 1s isn't the norm. Even if you "only" get badly beaten 1-2x/game and that results in a sack, you won't have your job much longer.

Quote:I'm with ya, I dvr'd the game... gonna watch it while having everyone's take in mind... I just re-watched all the 1st team reps. He got beat on that one and he got beat by a spin move on Blake's TD. Other than that he was pretty solid all night, he didn't really give up pressure except those two plays.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Watched opening drive when Ben went 4/4 including the +2. First completion was bang bang. Second was an easy curl, we should've been pressed. Third was poor technique by House, need to stay on top and if you're going to hold then hold, don't let him get open. Fourth completion we only sent three, should've sent four especially with the starting DL out.

![]() Luke Joekel in the line up....
People hate Luke because in his career, he's given up more sacks then Tony Boselli did in his entire career. So have most of the other starting tackles in the league but that's irrelevant.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

This is a strawman. Forget Boselli. As far as pass blocking, Joeckel hasn't looked as good as Monroe, Barnes, or Pearson. He'll get the whole season to prove us wrong. I sure hope he does. But at this point it's not pretty. At least the other 4/5 of the line is playing great so far. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" His run blocking ability was stellar. He stumbled on a couple of pass blocking routines. Geesh some of you peeps are ridiculous.

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.
On the completion to ar15 at the 4:45 mark of the first quarter, Luke looked ok, he pushed the rusher inside and then helped the guard with his assignment...
He has also looked pretty good in run blocking. The only time he's looked bad is when he is 1 on 1... |
