One of the reasons he fell in the draft was most only saw him as a 4-3 3 technique. I'm sure he could play the strong side DE, but I don't think he'd be very effective there.

He needs to continue to develop at DT. He looks promising, and with a little time under his belt, could make Ziggy Hood expendable. Hood is steady, but unspectacular. I could see where Bennett becomes the primary backup at that spot.

I think he should stay at the 3-tech until he masters that. I would much prefer he masters one thing rather than be average at multiple things.

Hood is marginal at best.  Bennett should be able to develop a little and beat him out at the 3 tech.

Capi was playing against backup and bubble players.  I am nominating him for the Chad Owens Award winner, for flashing in preseason and being awful when the real season starts.

Maybe. Didn't really see him penetrate too much in the game but he did manage to make a savy play by realizing he was doubled up and not moving so he batted the ball down. Always good to see rookies making veteran type mental plays.

In lightning packages sure. He is far too inconsistent at the moment to play significant snaps. I'd like to see him play 250 snaps this year in 16 games. Mostly on the inside.


We actually have a chance for a strength of our team to develop so much talent it's hard to play them all. Let's pace ourselves.
