The offensive line is vastly improved..

@ryanohalloran: Enough injury talk, analyzing how the #Jaguars starters fared Friday night. http://t.co/Mc5kYBG3r3

Not unless the Jaguars surprise the national media and win more games than "expected". Line play especially, for the Pro Bowl, is a reputation-type vote. You get a reputation by being noticed, and you get noticed by being on a good, or a least decent, team.

How many people have ever seen the Jaguars o-line actually play more than a play or two?

Predator was right though, this is worded funny. It's actually time Bortles took to throw.

True. But did he even have that long to attempt a throw last season?

On some occasions I'm sure he did. But the offensive line's improvement can't be overstated. Last season it was disappointingly common for someone to practically come free on right tackle's inside gap because the guys playing there were so bad. Doesn't look like that will be a problem as long as Parnell is in the game.

Even if LJ gives up some pressure a few times a game our OL looks like it has gone from horrendous to at least not a weakness. Especially if we assign Lewis over on the left side just as a little insurance on occasion.

Compare that to Tampa who's line looks like it may have even gotten worse

Quote:It's just up to Joeckel and Beadles.. Can Joeckel stop getting beat like that.. Will Beadles play to his potential like when he was with Denver.. There's alot of ifs but this team also has alot of young talented players with tons of upside.. This offense is better than the defense right now.. i think a 9-7 record would make me happy.. Fowler comes back next season plus Blackmon if possible.. 9-7 would make me happy then next year we show what this team is capable of.. It's also way to early to say how good this team is.. Also with all the injuries and stuf we are winning games that shows we have depth.. That's a "good" sign..
Eh, let's not get too riled up. I would love 9 wins, but if those are your expectations, you're going to be ddisappointd. Winning 9 games with this young team would be a dream come true though.

The first half of the season, we play a lot of good defensive lines. If we can win the LOS against Miami, NYJ, Carolina, New England, Houston, and Buffalo, we can possibly have a chance in those games. I liked what I saw from the unit as a whole. Joeckel is still inconsistent in his hand placement, and it gets him beat. We were atleast getting push in the running game, which is exciting and a young qbs best friend. We will have a lot of RBS to run a nice little rotation.

Parnell is a big man, I think he will fortify that side, just based on his size.

This just in, Luke Joeckel had no influence or control on when he was picked. He can only give the team his best effort, and there is no evidence he is doing anything but. He gave up one sack, to James Harrison, and played well otherwise.

Its amazing what a great coach can do, but the Oline still needs more improvement (especially refering to Luke Joekel).

He should make it this year, only reason he might not is the lack of team coverage, but if we win a decent amount of games he just might!

I thought Parnell did okay for the most part, Beadles messed up on one particular play but he wasnt that bad. The only one that really messed up bad on a few plays during the game that I noticed was Luke Joekel.

People are aware of how good he is. He's the 2nd highest rated player on the Jags in Madden at 87, behind Julius Thomas

You'd be surprised how much Madden ratings effect a player's career. That's how Vince Young managed to survive so long.

Madden ratings have zero effect on a player's career.

That's downright delusional.

Step away from the video games.

Linder has a chance if we run for 150 a game and go over .500.
