Cap Capi is the truth

So we know Capi had his sacks on the QB but going back and watching this guy has POWER. Watch this play in particular. It's a completion to Sammy Coates but pay attention to #66. He's being double teamed and still bull rushes his way to the QB. If this guy doesn't make our roster someone is going to pick up a legit player.

I think he is an intriguing prospect.

However, who's spot will he take? Branch?

Smith? Davis?

I just don't know. We may try to stash him on PS. If another team makes an offer we can always counter it (or match it) if the coaches feel he's worth the roster spot.

I got all giggity inside and then realized it was 3rd stringers...

His only chance at making the roster (outside of PS) is if Clemons is cut.

He won't take Branch's spot, its contract year for him and he'll be gone if he plays bad. Chris Smith is way more promising than Capi and is very solid. And did you really put Ryan Davis up for question?????

My point is....

With the perceived depth and overall talent, who's spot does he take?

An UDFA who flashed in minimal time (there's always one the board gushes over)

Davis and Smith have both flashed more (duh?)

Branch hasn't been special, but he's a veteran in a make it or break it year.

I wasn't saying I'd replace these guys with Cap, I was asking the other poster, as intriguing as a prospect he may be... who gets cut for a flyer guy

It was B.J. Finney (highly touted coming out of college) and some other guy. So at least he was going against guys of similar level and dominated them. That shows potential. He may not be there yet but it shows that he could be something.

I would guess that if he still shows a lot of potential in the rest of the preseason that it could spell the end of Clemons.

Capi is strong which is good because he looked ssslllooowww off the ball.

Capi isn't going to cause anyone to lose a roster spot.  He'll wind up a practice squad guy.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

He has almost no chance at making the 53 man roster.

Stick him on the PS.

Y'all think he'd last on the PS if he brings it in the Giants game?

Idk if he makes it to the PS if he performs well again. There's a lot of other teams who lack the depth that the Jags have at DL.

I'd keep him in lieu of Branch....we know what Branch offers- I'm sure Capi can duplicate it relatively easily.

I just knew Chad Owens was the real deal after he had that one good preseason game.......

Let him play against the ones and see what he can do.  Branch didn't do anything last week.

Chad Owens was fun to watch though.. He'd literally catch the ball and accelerate to full speed in a mere 1/4 second.. Then he'd run into his own defender and bounce backwards like 15 yards.. Produced many laughs...

He was good enough to become the Canadian League MVP.

Just not good enough to stick on an NFL roster.
