Who do you think will be the "surprise" cut of the preseason?

Hood.

Clemons. I really don't think he will and would surprise me if we did. But he's in the "cuttable" zone slightly.

Poz is safe. I still don't understand the hate for him.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Poz is the leader of the defense, he isn't going anywhere.

There is absolutely no reason to cut Joeckel.

Two guys that are in danger are Beadles (Cann) and Hood(Bennett).

Poz!?!??? Lol!!!!! Man come on. The only surprise cut I can see is maybe Clem

Yeah, but, he really isn't top notch, anymore. Serviceable, yeah. But get worked by the speedy shifty backs...

Quote:I think it's going to be Poz. Not that I have anything against him. He's still a great player, but we have a lot of depth at LB all of a sudden. Caldwell and Co. might be ready to move in a different direction.

We have a lot of depth at that position? Ya ok.

I'm gonna say Gerhart.

Storm Johnson is getting cut. Toby can at least do SOMETHING.

At risk...

Scobee

Clemons

Pasztor

Sterling (surprise as it's a draft pick)
We will prob stash Sterling on IR or PS, I think Scobee and Poz is safe for now

Clemons yea, and Beadles would be a surprise

Bryan Anger and Andre Branch as candidates.

There won't be a surprise cut, but if there was one, it'd be Gratz or Hood.

I don't think Branch is going to be cut, mostly because of him being in his contract year and getting 11 sacks in total for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. That is a good number for an average DE and he should be even better this year. He would've gotten more sacks last year if it wasn't for his injury, so I think he's safe. You get serious production out of players in their contract year, so it'd be risky to cut him. At the very worst, he doesn't put up good numbers and you can cut ties at the end of the year, while Capi is still on the PS.

Clemons (not too surprising) and Hood.

My thoughts exactly...

If Cap Capi takes a DE spot, Branch may be the odd man out.

Redfern looked good while Myers struggled, so I think the nonsense BCC stirred up is only about half possible.

If Banger and Branch are cut... how many Gene Smith guys are still here? 1? (Alualu immediately came to mind after posting.)

The thing about Redfern is everybody's biggest complaint about Anger is that he "outkicks his coverage". Redfern did the same thing this past game.

I don't think it will be a cut but I could see Gratz getting traded for a 5th-7th round pick and going into season with House, McCray, Colvin, Harris, Marshall

Id rather go into a season with guys with arrows going up that cost less than a guy who has nagging injuries and loses a spot on the depth chart every year.

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

Alualu and Blackmon might be the last ones.

That's true. Sorry, he was undrafted so he didn't really come to mind.
