The Walking Dead Season Five- merged (caution: spoilers)

Quote:Already looks better than the current show imo.

Kim Dickens is in the cast, that's one positive thing about the prequel.

I like her as well. She had a good role in House of Cards.

Sometimes I think the current show suffers from a shorter season so they try to have too many storylines going on at once. At least that's my POV. But there are other things wrong with it.

I actually have the opposite opinion that they have too many episodes, and try to compensate for the extra time with filler that usually adds very little to nothing in character or story progression.  I think if they had 10-12 episodes it would have a more focused story.

I've not seen either of those though Treme is now an Amazon Prime and I plan to watch it.

Pretty much.  I guess some still haven't figured out that the walking dead (the focus of the story) are the people, not the zombies.

What's going to be most interesting about the new show is that it will cover the discovery phase of the outbreak.

There won't be any decay with a "fresh" walker (which won't be their name... yet,) scientists will be baffled (linking it to other ailments in the news, like ebola), and people will go berzerk with fear.

Plus, this timeline will overlap with the main storyline at some point.

My only reservation is that it's the concrete jungle.  The LA scene is overdone in TV, and has been for quite a while.  There's some potential for the beach, though.  Sporting events, populated areas, landmarks, too.

Before they announced the location I was hoping for a pacific northwest type of location, would be fun to watch.

I expect better looking zombies.

I wonder if down the road they'll do some cameos from show to show. Like, "hey wasn't that so and so who just walked by in the produce aisle"?!?! But, maybe not since they're on the other coast?
