I think we're over the "need Blackmon" hump. Sure, if he were in tip top shape, and came back, we could use him. But we'll never see that Blackmon again. We are working on developing a solid receiving core, without the need for him.

 

 

I only fear we don't have the speed at WR to take the top off a defense. It's not like Justin was ever that fast either, but his game just added such a different element with his breakout ability after the catch that it's much the same.

I think it's safe to assume an application for reinstatement and denial thereof would have been made known to the team.  Moreover, Justin is still permitted to have bi-monthly contact with the team, but has not done so in what, 2 years?
